  • Upgrade from bajaj 150

    hello friends,

one of my friend needs help. he is now upgrading his bajaj pulsar 150 to another bike. mostly 150cc.

he is looking at honda cbr150, honda unicorn dazzler, hero honda cbz extreme, yamah fzs.

Looking for bikes which is lighter(around 140kg), smooth engine, mileage around 45kmpl, durability.want to keep it for 5years, drives around 25km daily. and occasionally long drives around 100km

dont suggest bajaj or suzuki since suzuki SVC are problem in his area.

any other new launches happening around diwali or any upgrades coming.should he wait for that.

    waiting for suitable replies.
    thanks

Why a 150cc again?? He should go for >150cc now as his daily running is only 25kms daily!! So Fuel won't be an issue!!

When i see CBR150 in list i think he is serious about upgrade, but when i see other ones it's a suddenly like same bike options to Pulsar 150. When he can think for CBR150 then why not a Duke or NS200??
As per CBR in list it means he can go for NS200 and Duke too,CBR is close to 1.3L+/-. Duke is 1.45L+/- , NS200 is 1L+/-

Maintaining any bike will solely depend on his servicing interest and the way he keeps it.

So NS200 is out, So Duke also!!
From your choice list with average in concern Dazzler is good, Hunk/CBZ dual Disc are good. This time don't let him buy single disc bike, time to really upgrade!!

        thanks for the approval mod.

actually he doesn't like the looks of duke and pillion comfort is not good.

he is comforatable with 150cc and above that he thinks the bike will weigh more.actually he wasn't comfortable with pulsar. also he is not power freak.

kindly suggest him between unicorn dazzler, cbz and fzs. also list out any disadvantages between them.

For pros and cons please go through the ownership thread and take a look on which ever bike you feel so and you can question the mighty owners too for any doubts.

          Now in 150cc:
If Dual Disc is in mind then Dazzler else FZ, but the major difference here is FZ has very moody mileage some get 40-45kmpl, then some get 35-40kmpl. But the comfort of ride a bike in city comes with FZ.

if he needs comfort and he is not power-craver ,then he should look out for unicorn,gs150 r.btw apache being 180 cc weighs less than many 150cc.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

he has zeroed between unicorn dazzler and fzs.

better bike between unicorn dazzler and fzs in terms of engine, mileage , resale value, weight, SVC and less maintenance.

any upgrades coming soon for the above.

              no TVS or bajaj.

                ....lol....

Dazzler has shared the engine with unicorn, It has good mileage, re-sale value due to Honda, DUAL DISC, average maintenance.

FZ: has best looks, Fun to ride in city, very comfortable in city as well as tours, very refined engine, SVC is better then honda INMO.

Maintenance is something which you are reponsible then bike, it's like 50:50.

                my take Dazzler here!!
