  • Suggest me a bike guys!!

Hi guys, i am new to xBhp, I want to buy a bike under 70k...!
    I am a teenager,
    5'7'', 50 kg, slim guy...!

The bike should be good looking, mileage 50+ kmpl & performance should be good too...!

Following are the bikes, i like & are fulfilling my conditions-
    1) Hero Ignitor- looks good, mileage is also good but dont know about the performance!!

    2) Pulsar 135LS- looks are not that great , mileage is good, performance is awesome!

    3) Yamaha SZ-R- dont know much about this bike!

Correct me if i am saying anything wrong about the bikes.
(The above bikes are the ones which i like, you can suggest a bike apart from these 3 too!!)

Welcome to xBHP first of all.

Among the 3, the Pulsar is the best performer, so I would personally suggest you to finalize that one. But if looks are more important to you than performance, looking at the other requirements, I would suggest you to pick the Hero Ignitor. The rest is upto you.
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

ls definitely have more sharp lines than other 2 bikes, you get more power, more mileage, more value for money, you won't regret your decision later if you opt for ls.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
      #overkill is underrated.
#how random roads may appear there is always a destination.sigpic
#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

          Thanks for your reply....!
I know that pulsar is the best performer in all the 3 bikes, but the looks are not that great!
I like the ignitor more because of the looks, the engine produces 11 bhp of power which is okay for me....! But i have a question, it produces a torque of 11nm @5000 rpm, according to the torque is the bike have a good pickup or a bad pickup.... Please explain this thing to me..!

And also explain about the performance of the ignitor a bit, it will be very helpful...!

ignitor is very short-geared bike so initial pull will be good but after 80 you will be running out of breath.
i say buy the best one with the money you have got,135 it is.

I've no doubt that you will be happy till your next upgrade with P135LS. I'm not so sure about the other two. Unless you got looks as the top most criteria, go with P135LS, coz it certainly gives 50kmpl+ mileage no matter how you ride it. Guess, you know a thing or two about it as you already used "awesome" describing it's performance.

since your main requirement is looks and mileage, I think Igniter is what you fits your bill. It is basically a Stunner with fresh looks and engine produces maximum Torque at lower RPM then stunner which is a good thing as it gives good low down punch during traffic and quick Acceleration.and As far as performance is concerned The yamaha is no different then stunner...both will struggle after 80km/hr...so they are more or less same.Yamaha will give under 50kmpl while Igniter will give 50-55 kmpl...so take a test drive of both Igniter and YAmaha and then decide. As far as pulser is concerned it doent look that good and wont grab attention from public which you as a teenager will naturally be looking for.

You are right, as a teenager i want to grab a little attention from public!
But i am still confused between 135ls & ignitor...!
As 135ls is the best performer in my price range & gives a good mileage too, but the looks are not that appealing
& ignitor is good looking & good at mileage too but the performance is not that great

yaa dude every youngster wants to grab attention and we surely understand your feelings...

from the above two bikes ,,it all depends on what you want..

                        1. if you want 150cc rivaling performance and gud fuel economy ..go buy the pulsar 135...

2.if you want cool looks with decent performance you can go for stunner/ignitor...

the ignitor also has cool speedo borrowed from the hunk....the stunner/ignitor have vibration at high speeds ...

if you ride mostly in city then stunner/ignitor is good bcoz of shorter gear ratios and good bottom end .....but on the highway it loses its breath ,,,
my friends stunner gives 55-60kmpl so ignitor will be more or less on the same page..

i think style is the decider here,so undoubtedly ignitor is one to go for...

@sachin.. ireally doubt that ignitor is mechanically different than stunner..

                          1. Bajaj Pulsar 135LS
                          2. Bajaj Discover 125ST
                          3. Yamaha SS125
                          4. Honda Stunner
                          5. Hero Ignitor

Above is a list of bikes that can fulfil your requirements in decreasing order of performance and in case of a tie in performance, better looking one is placed higher.

Take a lady friend with you, show her all the above bikes in person starting from the first. Grab the one she approves

                              3) Yamaha SZ-R- dont know much about this bike!
SZr is indeed a nice bike with Yamaha Trust and reliability.
P135 is also a nice bike, but it has the powers in bit higher rpms.
                              Max. Power13.5 @ 9000 (Ps @ RPM)
                              Max. Torque11.4 @ 7500 (Nm @ RPM)

Where as SZr being a 150cc will cop up easily to the demand.
                              Maximum output 12.1PS/7500rpm
                              Maximum torque 12.8Nm/4500rpm

I guess P135 will be having more top speed and mileage as it's 135cc.
If you don't want a Bajaj then Yamaha any day! SZr too gives nice average of 50kmpl+, where as P135 gives 55kmpl+

Bajaj has more cheap spare parts as compare to others.

INMO SZr is placed near to P135. My vote is SZr, as it's 150cc in affordable price with Yamaha Badge and good torque at right rpms to cruise in city or with pillion, no need to raise it to higher rpms.

Now a days girls are smart and they too know the bikes and it's saga, so to attract a girl you need :
                              1. R15
                              2. GT250r
                              3. Duke
                              4. CBR
                              5. Ninja..etc
this are by looks. But do keep in mind, girls attracted to your bike will easily get attracted to other bikes too, leaving you alone with bike only.
So choose one which is good for you not for girls!! True GF will be with you even if you ride a Bajaj Scooter!!
