  • suggest me a bike between passion pro and dream yuga

    hi guys,
i planned to buy a bike next month. i am learning bikes now for about one week. I felt somewhat ok to ride in open street but when i tried to travel in a low traffic i am not comfortable and made the engine off for a couple of times, i think i still need lot of practice. im living in chennai. First i planned to buy honda shine for its simple decent looks. im short my height is 160cm. When i sit on shine i can balance the bike but not well. I have only half of my feet touching ground and i felt the bike is somewhat heavy to me. Then i tried my friend's Passion pro. since its seat is little small i can touch almost my whole feet on the ground and i felt the bike is somewhat less weight and im comfortable with that.

Now i decided to buy a 100-110cc bike not more than that. since i will travel in range of 45-55 only so i felt 125cc is unnecessary. I expect a milege around 60kmpl. My budget is 60-68k. I am a beginner.

suggest me a suitable bike. Now my confusion is between passion pro, splendor nxg, dream yuga.

i read that dream yuga is also same height as shine is that true?. whether is it easy to handle for beginners?

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

with that kind of budget you can seriously move up to executive commuter class, say shine or stunner or p135.
now i suggest you to get the most powerful in the budget i.e. 135.
i am getting 56+ kmpl city mileage,it has enough power to roam around in the city and smoke some 150 cc.
the saddle height is not that much, with comfortable riding position.
it has got all those goodies like clip-ons,digi-speedo,dc lighting, led tail-lamp.
it is a traffic-cutter,light handle bar along with 122 kg kerb weight helps in zig-zaging in nagging city traffic.
i know you are beginner ,but sooner or later you will feel a urge to get hold of more powerful machine ,so why not start with a baby pulsar.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
        #overkill is underrated.

#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

i am looking for the 100 - 110cc commuter bike only. though i will test ride pulsar to see whether i am comfortable with that.

          guys tell about dream yuga??

I test rode the Dream Yuga, but found it to be significantly behind Bajaj Discover 100 in 4G in comfort levels and also performance, though its priced higher. I later test rode the entire Discover range, and now I feel they are class leading in terms of comfort, with the only issue being that Discover 100/125/150 all have smaller sized bodies and seats. But that's because of my height (6') and for you it will actually be an advantage. Just go to a Bajaj showroom and test ride the Discover 100 4G, Discover 125, Discover 125ST and Discover 150 apart from Pulsar 135LS. You will find them all easier to ride due to Exhaus-Tec that boosts bottom end torque (learners tend to oftens tall bikes by not downshifting in time), and once you become comfortable they are good at speeds as well.
Currently without a vehicle. Uber App and Bangalore Metro serving all my travel needs.

When any bike is in motion then it's not all a difficult task to handle a bike. So don't worry on height stuff. Even a good feet posture would also fall if he is riding insane!!

Your needs are clear: riding between 45-55kmph, but would this be even after 1-2 months?? If yes then why not a gearless scooter?? That would be more comfortable in riding with feet touch and mileage of around 35-45kmpl.

If no then what difference would it make for a 100 or 125cc ??
it's better you go with 125 cc Honda Shine or Yuga.

No bike is easy to handle, it's your maturity while riding. Id you ride insane then today or tomorrow you be kissing ground.

I would recommend Honda, because Hero is going through he crisis of their developing a new R& D and sales strategy.

Yuga and Shine are best to fit in your budget, very comfortable to ride with excellent mileage and most refined and reliable engine!!!

You are new to biking so i would suggest you to be 125cc only!!
Yuga is 110cc where as Shine is 125cc and there is no front disc in Yuga but you get it in Shine. Average wise both would be pretty close than a major difference. So Shine is good to buy!! After Honda still holds the best tech and engine image even today!!
