  • R15 v2 complexity

    I'm gonna buy a 150cc sports bike in early 2013. I only have 2 choices ie: CBR 150R, R15v2.

My issue is CBR color combination is not suitable for me. I prefer single color which seems to be done with R15. But R15 having rear seat too high. Is there a option to reduce that rear seat height a bit ?

    Any suggestions would be appreciable.

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

really?? you decide bikes based on colour option? i have nothing to say then.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
      #overkill is underrated.
#how random roads may appear there is always a destination.sigpic
#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

I'm happy that you have jotted down to two bikes than to create a huge confusion and invite suggestions from keyboard warriors. Moving on.

          R15 V2.0 is also dual tone, Blue+Black, Red+White, Grey+Black, White+Red(LE).

The seat height cannot be adjusted, sorry for that bro. Since color is your option and seat height is an issue, may be you can go for the CBR and Paint it according to your needs... Seat height will be perfect, color will also suit your style. The cost might increase another Rs 3,000 or Rs 5,000 for color, I do not know which state or city you are from so guiding for a Painter will be difficult.

          Hope this helps.

I think that you can get the ceeber painted in any colour you wish!
While buying my Dio,the dealer said that for an additional cost of 800 INR,the scooter would be painted in Black/White.
1500 INR for some other colours.
Talk to your Honda dealer to get it in the paint scheme of your choice.

Isn't it better than just pointing out straight , which may lead to rude to a person!! Little humerous is better, isn't ?? I am no one to laugh on any one!!

              @TS:

There are difference in R15 and CBR 150 , in riding and style both.

CBR150 is Sports tourer with relaxed riding postion, R15 is entirely Sports.
ECU of both are mapped for city usage too. CBR is more comfortable while riding, But cornering/Handling is more confident in R15 due to Sports riding.

CBR lacks simple things like Kill Switch and Pass light, Where as any person would love to have this in even 60K bike.
CBR works on DOHC where as R15 works on SOHC, practically there won't be much difference in performance.

Rear seat gives more better looks to bike, but unfortunately it's not for family!!

Again first finalise your riding style, then Need city or highway ?? if city then CBR would be more practical.

              @SunilG:

Why does Mods keep deleting the post as OT rant or OT and keep other posts which are the starting for OT ???

Arey very good then, My suggestion is go for the CBR and you wont regret it. Get it painted as per your needs, it will be a gem on the highway.

About paint scheme, search for a garage where bikes and cars are painted or else ask the dealer if he knows any good painter. Get your dream machine now.

CBR makes more sense then, it's comfortable then R15, don't go for paint right now, get it done after a yr atleast!

Hmm.. Painting a new bike is not worthy. Actually to me R15 color scheme is more bright and better than CBR 150R, where CBR 250R has perfect color balance.

Any other bikes in this segment in current market ie: 150cc Sports tourer. Buying a bike cost over a Lakh without Kill Switch. Will it be worthy ?

If you can stretch your budget, get the CBR 250R.
                        Else stick to the 150R.
The kill switch isn't even necessary for most!(It's a convenience,I agree)
If I were in your place I'd go with the 150R in the Repsol orange paint scheme.

Repsol orange paint scheme isn't available yet I guess. And finding a local paint shop to do that will be risky thing for a new bike.

Between CBR 150 & R15, it is R15 anyday....The experience is worth it.

I think it's just Flaming orange(Even though it looks Repsol-ish).
