Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

        my choosen ones are
        1. yamaha r15 v2
        2. pulsar ns 200

which will be best........ acceleration is a fact for me..... or would you guys recommend any other bike for me (except ktm duke)
        . stylish and powerful

(i heard that r15 is not suitable for tall person) what do you guyz say???? which bike ????? i dont face much traffic on the road where i live.....
NS200 is not a sport bike. But NS200 has good power compared to R15.

< Rs1L NS200 anytime is a best bike. 5.9' is not very tall. R15 can be used in your case. But NS200 has the power of 200cc which you are looking.

Why not Duke ?? any specific reason?? NS200 and Duke both are made by Bajaj. Duke is more better then NS200 or R15.

When you are a sports bike lover so why CBR 150 is not in your list?? Any one buys a sports bike to corner or for speed, which are present in Duke also!! Think again, now duke comes in more color choice!!

@the poster - please mention your budget and riding environment (eg for me 70% highway 30%city)
For acceleration - p200ns will give u.a better kick in the rear than the r15, but nothing beats the ferocious acceleration of the duke..
If u have the budget why not the cbr250 or the ninja?

I literally don't think that any naked bikes can be clasified under sports category? why ? becuase same engine and design with fairing will take over the naked machine any time. Fairing will help in better stability and getting to speed compared to naked.
Considering the bikes ride on their own so as to mitigate the differences on account of rider skill; I feel the difference will be literally negligible and not enough, to not categorize a naked bike as a sport bike.

As per Wiki naked bikes are derived directly from Sportbikes and are just its variation.
              Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sport_bike
but sport bikes with small or no fairings have proliferated since the mid 1990s. These are called naked bikes or streetfighters,[12][39] and they retain many of the performance features of other sport bikes, but, besides abbreviated bodywork, they give the rider a more upright posture, by using, for example, higherhandlebars instead of clip ons.

A sportbike is a motorcycle whose enjoyment consists mainly from its ability to perform on all types of paved highway – its cornering ability, its handling, its thrilling acceleration and braking power, even (dare I say it?) its speed."

Since the 1990s sport bikes have become more diverse, adding new variations like the naked bike and streetfighter to the more familiar road racingstyle of sport bike.

Very True- "Motorcycling is not, of itself, inherently dangerous. It is, however, extremely unforgiving of inattention, ignorance, incompetence, or stupidity."

I like- "Bikes are not supposed to be a rational decision. If you can park it and walk away without looking back to admire it, you got the wrong one."

To prove a theory you might need examples. The above mentioned pics in my post are all bikes under 1.3lakhs.

About the CBR250 Some people out here have problems and think that it cant do this it cant do that... well the bike is an awesome machine money can buy, so just posted the pic to show the concepts used on bikes costing Rs35,000, Rs 1.3 lakh or even Rs1.70 lakhs are same.

EDIT - @krishna Please multiquote your replies.

Well I am a prospective buyer like you and my suggestions are based on multiple test drives I have taken-

R15- Is closest you can get to a sports bike as far as styling, ride position, handling and presecision is concerned. What it lacks is outright accelearation due to 150cc engine which produces a meagre 17 BHP. As sports bike are meant for track usage they are more forward biased imparting better cornering abilities with razor sharp feedback and handling. You will feel united and as a part of the bike as you sit. Bike is fun and get you closer to a sports bike kind of a feel. Disadvantage being more pressure on wrists and arms.

Bike looks awesome and has got a road presence but if you are looking for drag races with Pulsars (220 & 200) it will be in your face kind of a scenario. Those machine are 30-40k cheaper respectively and have got better 0-100 figures and top end. Pulsar 200NS is around 2 sec quicker then R15 in 0-100 dash. Also your female friend won't be too inclined to sit on the 3rd floor kind of a seat offered by R15. Bike is meant for a rider only and pillion is anytime a liability and you will feel extra weight on your arms everytime you will break. And I say it will be the only thing . On your height & weight fitting the bike- yes you will look and feel good on R15 in comparo to P200 & P220

P200NS- Its quick, refined with best 0-100 time for an Indigenous product. Good handling and refined engine as compared to all other Pulsars around. Low end is not as gruty as P220 but mid range is something to talk about. Its a street fighter and not a sports bike so will feel entirely different to r15. Disadvantage being poor horn and headlight- due to dry battery. But, It has got 6 more horses then R15 to play with.

Well I would recommend you a Pulsar 220- oodles of low end and mid range torque. Best top end speed with projector head light and decent horn. It is also 10k cheaper then P200NS. Disadvantage being- Not as good a handler as 200NS or R15. Best for traffic light GP's.

If you are inlcined towards sports bike only then you can also look for CBR150R. Bike is DOHC equipped which gives high rev range and better fuel eficiency. It revs till 12000 RPMs whereas R15 dies at 10500. You can seat a pillion also with not so aggressive ride position. Disadvantage being - it will not be that good in city. But will surely put a smile on your face on highways.

Above all I would recommend you to take multiple test rides and also sit on a saddle on a statinary bike. Bike has got a tendency to get connected to the rider. Its never like one size fits all.

                              Regards,
                              Maddy
