  • Help me choose a ride....

    Guys,

Ive gone through the threads, but no one is speaking abt the rider. Some rides just dont suit everyone, coz the ride is low height etc...Like the new fz16 just wnt suit me. Im around 177 cm, an average built or u can say few extra pounds. Please suggest few rides , new ones , which will suit me. Im ready to go upto 1lk+, but hard to compromise in mileage and style.

    Topic Approved.

Looking at your budget and your requirement (style, etc.), I would suggest you have a hard look on the R15.

Looking at the kind of budget he has (about a lakh of rupees), not to mention the fact that he is also looking for a stylish machine.

But, then he cannot seems to give up on mileage (I am not so sure what kind of mileage the R15 gives though)...

Looking at his budget and requirements (read style & fuel efficiency) he should go for a P 220.

@Aryan: By the way what kind of mileage your baby is returning?

Yes, a P-220 would also serve him well, no doubt but the P-220 doesn't like everyone you see!

            P.S:
My P-200 has been giving me anywhere between 45-52 kms.to a litre - consistently!

Perhaps, give your potential customers my P-200's example then!

@prem.rust: Perhaps, the P-200 ain't that bad a prospect after all. Think about it - you've got style, you sure have got mileage and you can save 20 - 25 odd grands as well, which you can perhaps use in something else!

Perhaps a nice lid, a cool jacket, great set of gloves and what not.

Not only the 200, he can have a look at the ZMA and for better mileage a Unicorn as well. A friend of mine(he is 6feet-4 inches BTW) is using it and feels it the most comfortable. He could not even turn the handlebars on other vehicles when he just sat on them to get a feel(Pulsar, FZ, Apache etc) as the bars were hitting his knee!

                      Hello

R15 is no doubt a Good bike. You are getting some very good tech, very good handling which is not available in any other bike. And it is coming from a Company which is no doubt second to none.

But my personal opinion, go for P220 or P200 FI (due very soon). 13-15 K less & more or less similar Power (better in fact) Style wise - SXC!! (I feel) & Comapany has improved this model majorly. You are most likeley to face far less issues than 1st generation P200s & P220s.

Everytghing elese is upto you. But whatever you buy, treat it as your better half & m sure it will give you immense pleasure

@ BANDHAV : Wat more reqirements? Most important , the bike must suit me, u knw shud fit with the ride , i hate riding small bikes makes me feel really uncomfortable. Sexy style , a descent mileage , planning to hold on to this ride for next 2-3 yrs, so reasonable in that sense. Ive got my eyes on R-15, KARIZMA , and p220.
Some suggested me not to go for yamaha as it has no market value and it seems its engine are not so gud (really?? ... )
So that wud leave me with karizma and p220.

                          @prem

Thunderbird twin spark all the way .. no other bikes .. i own a pulsar 180 .. if i had the dough i would have bought one right away ... its not refined like karizmas but there is something special about this biike that makes you love it immediately once you own it and that love only increases in due course of time ..

Considering ur built and budget i suggest u a P220... A P220 would suit u all the way man..
Though the R15 is best around, It doesnt suit all of them as u have mentioned and also u need to keep it in boil.. say above 6k rpm atleast to get good output from it, which will be very tiring...

Just go for the P220 if u are ok with the style.. Its a torque factory compared to other bikes..
