  • Looking for a 150cc Bike

    Hi All,

I am planning to purchase a 150cc bike with good riding comfort, reliable engine, refinement and better FE. I have shortlisted the following bikes:

    1) Hero Hunk
    2) Honda Unicorn/ Dazzler
    3) suzuki gs150r
    4) Yamaha fz-16

Bike will allow trouble free travel up to 250KM in weekends and will be good for city use also. Please suggest which one of the above is good for me.

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Have heard from new owners of FZ 16 series that the mileage is improved as well the pillion seat. If that is true then thats a good one in 150cc otherwise GS
          Whats there in a signature?

Dazzler is best to go with due to better power and Honda engine with dual Disc.

Yamaha fz will be the best option for you because of your long trips on weekend.Even the average of fz on highway is 50 and you will love the rear tyre

                improved average

Yes the average is improved. It Gives me 50 on city when i drive stable and the rear seat is now more comfortable. But i prefer you to take fz16 instead of fz-s,you will save 3000 and even the headlight of fz is better.dont even worry about the service.the pic demonstrates how your service will be done

Not even a single supporter for Hunk?
GS150 is still down on sales charts, but still lot of recomendations here!

Hunk has also improved now with Bybre brakes, accurate LCD speedo, Dual Disk options etc and above all the engine is based on the Unicorn/Dazzler mill.
FZ and GS lacks dual disc option.
Also, the suspension is good coupled with a nicely contoured seat.

Yes fz got lack of reardisc brake but you wont miss a machine like fz with such a great framework, widest rear tyre, such a big fueltank and such a big name of yamaha plus best design in 150 cc segment for just a single rear disc brake.

I suggest the FZ 16. Its a good performer, big fat rear tire, quite a handler, and comfort in riding and a reasonable FE. One of the best 150 cc rides out there. Btw, have you done any test rides of the above mentioned rides?

gs150 will be good for highways and get u better FE with a 6th cog
if u can handle the weight in city it wouldnt b much a problem....but i would suggest go for it only if u have a SVC nearby as spares are difficult to find

fz is a great bike with amazing performance in city but if u plan to do 100+ speeds on highway u will feel its underpowered...so fz is more of a city machine

dazzler and hunk can be the best bet as they both are balanced

hunk comes with bybre brakes now and dazzler has nissin brakes

                            test drive and decide

or if u have nothing against bajaj you can go for the allrounder p150
though the looks are a bit common and every tom dick harry has a pulsar but still u cannot go wrong with it

every SVC does the service same way...even a discover or a splendor is serviced that way...
