^^ lol, no more advise from me. I promise. not after that comment.

no honestly, for a short 5km or less strip, it will not do no harm. i am quite sure a lady would be able to hold on to you and stay calm for that distance.. however, you will just have to imagine how uncomfortable it would start getting beyond that.

you would need a flat and broad seat at the back. for comfort purpose.

The GS 150R&Unicorn are excellent commuters, with very good seats-longer&wider than the other sporty bikes. This should enable your pillion to be seated sideways in comfort too. However, you seem to have a fascination towards lower handlebars. You already said FZ has high handlebars
Though Apache RTR/Fi is excellent for the rider, I give it the lowest points on pillion comfort.
CBZ Xtreme/Karizma seem to fit both your requirements, but they are deprived of features.
I think you can take a pick amongst the Pulsar family-180/200/220 according to your budget.
All the best in choosing the bike that suits you the most. Remember, its never a bike/brand which others like-you should be satisfied with it the way you intend using it. Cheers!

+1 to that: After short-listing, shouldn't he be narrowing down to the final choice? I guess he can do 'inky-pinky-ponky' when he goes to take delivery amongst a number of vehicles. I know some people who test drove 15-20 vehicles in the godown before picking one too!

If you can wait for some more time, there are many sources that are saying Apache 180 will be launched soon too. Maybe you can wait&check that out too!

@Saurabh: In case you intend selling your bike soon&are looking out for a 2009 model, be warned that anything you buy before March 2009 will still be a 2008 model, as the resale goes by model manufacture date&not by purchase/registration date.

@Saurabh: In case you don't mind going in for an ungeared vehicle too, you can consider the Kinetic Blaze. Its really comfy&powerful as well!

@R15Rocks: I would really appreciate if you do not keep posting continously one after the other; rather you can easily edit one post and add subsequent information if you feel like.

I have clubbed your three consecutive posts onto one post. I hope you would take care of it, henceforth.

              Thanks.

                  Hi,

I asked bharath tvs in bangalore.. they said that any bike after Jan 7th would be considered 2009 model. Will try and confirm it again... and ive postponed buying the FI for that reason :|

Confirm whether the model was manufactured in 2009 or not. It may begin anywhere from Jan-March. Precisely the reason I picked up my F2 in March back in 2004.

Sorry for posting something irrelevant to the thread topic.. but did not want to start another topic for this

i spoke to many tvs show rooms today.. one of them said that i can book the FI in the first week of Jan, they will give me a 2009 model from the first batch that arrives.. which should happen by Jan end.. I dont know if i should wait so long as ive heard that many automakers are considering price hike.. not sure/confirmed.. hope someone throws light on this.

Price hike is not confirmed, but losing money while selling an older model vehicle sure is!

                              ^^^^^
As I posted before too ... I have postponed the buying plan a bit to get 2009 make.

I haven't locked in to the final one but it must be one of RTR EFI/FZ16/Unicorn for different reasons. Will post to this thread as soon as I book one.

Here in bangalore one TVS show room claims that they already have 2009 make while others says that it'll only come in Feb ... made me really worried about the credibility

Moreover GS150R seems to be new addition in my hunt list dropping P200 and most probably HH bikes also because I guess, Unicorn is any time better than those(CBZ xTreme/Hunk) .. So in this way I pruned my list to (FZ/RTR FI or Unicorn/GS150R -- two grouping because of price, weight, bike-character and so on).
