  • Upgrade from pulsar 150

    hello friends,

kindly suggest me a good upgrade from pulsar 150.

main criteria is smooth engine, good mileage, less maintenance and reliability.

    profile: 30yrs, software engr, chennai.

    previous owned : victor, pulsar 150 2005(current)

prefer: Honda unicorn/dazzler, Yamaha FZ series, TVS Apache.

Don't suggest: bajaj, suzuki, hero bikes.

    requirement: 35kms daily drive(city/highway travel),mileage:40-45kmpl, more comfortable ride/less weight/good shocks/ than pulsar.

budget-85K would like to keep for 5yrs.

    waiting for your suggestions.

    thanks,

    kiran

Go with Dazzler it has better mileage with mono shocks which helps in better handling along with dual Disc brakes!! Good engine and average of 50kmpl+
FZ is best in city but it doesn't have good mileage as you are expecting.
TVS apache has a semi sports riding position which won't be comfortable in city as compare to Dazzler/Unicorn/FZ.

      TR Dazzler and see !!

        thanks somen for the advice.

i think dazzler has partly naked chain ..will this be a problem in wet/rainy conditions.

is there any upgrade for dazzler coming soon..

No you won't but as compared to covered chains you need to take care of it's setting and oiling more little more seriously then covered ones...like in every 400-500 kms get your chain set and lub.
