yes u did mention this situation in ur xbhp bangladesh thread on the old xbhp posts ( before the server crash ) ... but this will only kill biking in ur country ... paying US 240$ is not only riduculous ... i think that is plain daylight fleecing ... they mite as well tell citizens not to ride bikes at all.

If i am not wrong ... that is the price at which Kwacker ninza 250 was to be sold from bajaj pro biking outlets in India ... and Sunny's review do give us an insight that the kwacker 250 is a full blooded sportster ... unlike the R15 ... man this is ... i do not have the words to describe the situation created by the authorities in BD.

But r15 is not the most expensive bike in Bangladesh. Hyosung GT125R is the most expensive legal bike in here. Price: 425000 Taka only. Only the plastic faring costs 80000 Taka.

Can u believe such a price for a 125cc bike. But some people are still buying this staff.

yea the Hyosung GT250 or Comet as we know it here was also around 2 lacs here after registration or just a tab above it ... tis expensive even as a second hand sale raging arnd 1.5 or above it ... but surely 80000 is not the cost of the fairing here ... that was a good year end joke ... but on the serious note why do people still buy them at absurd prices ... we here also do not like the concept of a 120% customs and taxes imposed on sbks or other bikes imported here on the grounds that it will kill the local industry ... and the administration is undstanding the tension and trying to remove these burdens ... but i remember u all said once that this was imposed for road safety ... from adnan's pics it seems BD has better roads than here in India . then wat is the clause. ???

I was not talking about comet.Comet is the naked version. Hyosung GT125R is a 125cc Sports bike. Actually Hyosung has 3 sports bike in its product line (GT125R, GT250R & GT650R). Only GT125R is available in Bangladesh.
Road condition inside the cities are very bad in here. There are some good highways but most of the bikers use their bike as comuter. And major cities have bumper to bumper trafic all day long. I can hardly go beyond 80 kmph in normal time.
Fuel price is also a fact. Like india most of the bikers are here are comuters. Bike is the work horse of their daily life. So demand of the smaller bikes are much higher.

From whatever I received on Xbhp, I feel that for a 150 it has to be unicorn, and this comes after I have a Pulsar ...

Ride quality is very good as people here say, and vibrations are less. I have driven it myself, and never felt it vibing.

Another factor worth mentioning is that Unicorn has the least transmission loss, power loss from crankshaft to rear wheel. Someone (some intelligent guy) on site did a Dyno & found that it still delivers 12 something bhp to rear wheel ...

So, basically it is an advantage when compared to other similar 150s, who have more bhp. and what's more, pushing it to it's limit is easier ... Reg. Top Speed, 110+ True is reported by Bike India, which isn't too far behind other 150s. Is it?

I hope the Topic poster benefits from this post ...
