    Thread Approved
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Hero Splendor will be the most reliable and cheap to maintain out of these, but the engine is aged now.
Honda Shine has better power and smooth engine than Splendor and equal or better mileage than Splendor.
SS125 will be good option if you want more power and is said to give 50-55 kmpl in city.

I would say, Honda Dream Yuga would be perfect.
HH Dawn - TVS Star City - Yamaha Gladiator - TVS RTR 180 - Honda CBR 250R - Yamaha R3

Nothing to do with number of months, but with number of kilometers.

I'm not aware if SS125 comes with a tachometer or not. If it does, then ride under 5k RPM for the first 500 kms. Within these 500 km, you may take the bike to 6k RPMs for a few seconds though.
Now, in the next 500 kms, ride under 6-6.5k RPM. You may give short bursts to 7k or above on the tacho.

If there is no tacho, maintain speeds < 55 for the 1st 500 kms. You may give short bursts till 65 or so.
For the next 500 kms, maintain speeds < 70. You may give short bursts till 80-85 or so.

After 1k kms, ride it as you wish. Ride safe.
