Karizma is really outdated. When compared to zmr the most important thing lacking is rear disc. Its funny they put i a RD for cbz ,hunk and not for karizma.
20k price difference.
If you have no problems with budget get ZMR,sell those nasty fairings(No trouble finding a buyer, lot of posers would want them for their 125cc),put in R's fairings. That is what I would do.
If you are ready to sacrifice on goodies R is the one!"Vibes transmitted from crank shaft to frame, then through the bearings of the head stock and into the stem where it meets the triple clamp and into the clip-ons where it is greeted with great pleasure by my hands"-ratfighter mod rtr

If you don't have any budget problem then go for ZMR, you will get better mileage than R ... For commuting ZMR is best and it has the rear disc which R is lagging..Originally posted by B.N.abhijit View Posthi guy I help me out on new bike between hero karizma or hero karizma zmr my daily driving is 60 km up&down to office and weekend long drive 150 km plz help me

In between these 2...Obviously ZMR is better as it offers Honda's FI system which helps in removing cold starting ,a problem which many ZMA r users do face..Also it comes with Clip-ons ,rear disc, better suspension, great console..all of this making ZMR good enough over old R..Don't Honk Unnecessarily

For looks, fuel efficiency and if price is not a problem, then Zmr. But if you want a stronger, better drive, better handling, better cost efficiency and maintenance, then definately the Karizma R. Zmr fuel injection parts cost a bomb.Originally posted by B.N.abhijit View Posthi guy I help me out on new bike between hero karizma or hero karizma zmr my daily driving is 60 km up&down to office and weekend long drive 150 km plz help me

Go for ZMR if you can afford. The FI engine is more fuel efficient and has better crispy in-gear acceleration. No headaches of mechanics screwing up the carb tuning. No headaches of cold starts. Better braking with rear disc, tubeless tyres, and GRS rear shocks. The console is better than ZMA and the clip-on handle bars look cool.

ZMR is more heavier bike specially at the front, FE is better, but expensive to maintain, Fuel pump costs approx 12k and many owners have complaint about it blowing up. 9 kgs more than std zma and similar power output.Originally posted by ravi@17bhp View PostGo for ZMR if you can afford. ZMA is less expensive on the pocket, comparable performance, tried tested, ( just get rear tyre changed), FE around 33, Nimble and lighter to move around.
Go in for ZMA
Having owned both ZMA ( 4 years ) and ZMR ( 1.5years) this is what i feelM3:15

Never knew blown-up fuel pump in ZMR. Maintenance-wise, both ZMR and Karizma are expensive, ZMR being a bit more expensive. These expenses would be warranted in case of any fall only. As long as there is no fall, everything will be fine. Anyway, you have owned both the bikes, and you will be in a better position to conclude than me. I have used ZMR for a long tour and small rides. Felt it to ride better than Karizma, especially the in-gear acceleration. Got an FE of 47 kmpl at 90 kmph, where my ZMA returned only 39 kmpl.Originally posted by worrisomebear View PostZMR is more heavier bike specially at the front, FE is better, but expensive to maintain, Fuel pump costs approx 12k and many owners have complaint about it blowing up. 9 kgs more than std zma and similar power output.

Ravi bhai, you are forgetting that older gen Karizma's rear fiber used to rattle even without a fall. They were so brittleOriginally posted by ravi@17bhp View PostNever knew blown-up fuel pump in ZMR. Maintenance-wise, both ZMR and Karizma are expensive, ZMR being a bit more expensive. lol.
Oh and the rear indicators
You'll never find a Karizma having them or them working, either they would not be there or hanging on the bike
