    Pulsar 200ns or Apache 180 ??
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Race track usage and Avenger? Don't quite add up, do they?

If your budget permits, go for a CBR250. It is comfortable, it can do track days, it can tour all day comfortably, and its suspension is plush like a Volvo. Your pillion won't complain and it has lots of juice for city and highways alike. You can also consider the CBR150. Though not as powerful as the 250, it can still meet most of your other requirements.
The 200NS would also suit your needs and it's comfortable for both rider and pillion. It's bang within your budget too!

Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

        12. Riding comfort – There should be no back pains, wrist pains, bottom pains etc. The bike should also feel easy to ride. I should not be making an effort to move myself through the city roads and maybe on highways as well.
Hopefully, no rattles, wobbling, undesirable vibrations at certain specific rpm/speed......
Do you really visit Racetracks ?? And how often ??

Now a days people are taking almost all bikes to racetracks.

Here you can vouch for NS200 and ZMR becuase this two bikes are very efficient in comfort with power.
NS200 to the higher side of ZMR as compare to performance.
Average of ZMR is near to 40-45kmpl.
        NS200 is near to 35-40kmpl.

Flick-ability is more better in NS200.

So now you decide which one to buy.

both are around 1L here and there.

Did you actually read the TS's requirements? 50% of the time he will be having a pillion! I omitted the ZMR on purpose. It's an amazing tourer in your expected price range, very good torque for city and highways...but you can't take it to track.

Bajaj launching a sub 200cc Pulsar this year, if you want to wait i.e. Quality of Bajaj engines has really improved as evident from the 200ns and 125st. You can expect a lot of goodies from this one too. Read about what the riders are expecting here: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/news/258...sars-year.html, if it tempts you, wait for it[since you don't mind doing so].
Pulsar 200ns is the best bike available in your price bracket. LC, rear disc, naked style, butter smooth engine etc etc. PGM-FI unit on ZMR is a gem though if you don't mind buying an outdated bike.

P200NS should fit your needs aptly. You can also check on the ZMR. If you can double the budget then CBR250 hands down.

The route I take to my office is a combination of nice wide roads and also pot-holed roads. Traffic jams are light.
As you can see, he hasn't mentioned about going to racetracks. He is going to ride mostly in cities and occasionally on the highways during long rides.

Also, when I am driving on the highways, eg, Nice Road or Bangalore Elevated Highway, the bike should be confidence inducing not scare the bejeesus out of me.
Avenger starts "crying" after it reaches 90/95kmph, once it reaches 100kmph its almost out of breath and it takes a lot of effort to reach the Top speed (115/120kmph ) !

I dont like TVS bikes mainly, Apache is the only bike from TVS which i atleast consider decent.

                        Regarding the questions/queries.

                        >>> It was just what was mentioned in template, am never taking a bike to Race Track lol. I wrote only stuffs after ":" or "-". Hopefully, the misunderstanding will be clear now

                        >>> Karizma was a charm 2 years back, but its like everyone in my locality has one at the moment. Karizma ZMR, well i dont like it, its front design mainly, just individual choice.

It's kind of irritating looking at the market, only 3 bikes in my price range has 200cc. Pulsar, Avenger and Karizma. Seriously, indian market needs more variety. :S

I own an RTR 180 and tried my hands on most other bikes discussed here. I find CBR 250 is the best choice, considering you site pillion comfort among your needs. I wouldn't recommend Apache given this as my brother often complains about rear footpeg vibrations in the 100Km high speed dash we do on weekends.

Other than that Apache meets most other requirements put up by you. It always brings a smile on my face when I look at my bike or when riding it. I never felt lack of power on continuous runs. I can hang on the throttle as much I want and it doesn't complain. Vibrations have reduced with evolution. Also around here my bike is like an exclusive bike as few people owns one. But resale value could be a problem.

200NS is also a very good choice according to my brother as he often rides one of his friend's. I'm not that sure as I've just test driven it for 2-3 times. They say it's like a beast with that power.

BTW, you said you are comfortable with FZ. Then why don't you go for it? Some great color combinations are there for it.
