  • For 1st time buyer

    Hey Guys,
    I am looking for a new bike to buy to travel from home to college about 10km one way.

    My stats:
    Here are my stats-

    Height = 5'7
    Weight = 65 kgs

    I am contemplating on buying the new Honda CB 150 Trigger. However would be grateful if i could get some views on the same. Whether is worth investing in the bike or should i look for other options.

    Budget is 80k. Mileage required around 50 - 55Km/lt

    Thanks.

      You can read more about the Honda Trigger here: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/news/255...er-launch.html

      You have not indicated your riding style, intended usage etc. For 80K you can get many good 150s. Do indicate your riding, performance and look-wise preferences.

      Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

          1. Budget - around 70 to 80k
          2. Age - 25years
          3. Height - 5.7"
          4. Weight - 65kgd
          5. Intended usage - will be used for travelling to vidyavihar and back home, around 20km two way, Highway runs & Weekend recreation riding etc
          6. Fuel Efficiency requirement - more than 50km/lt would be gr8
          7. City & Highway percentage usage - highway usage will be more than city - say 60:40 ratio
          8. Approximate Daily / Monthly running - monthly running will be 500km
          9. Brand / Bike type preference (if any) - Honda or Yamaha bikes

          I feel buying the newly launched Honda Trigger would be better. Let me knows the views. Am a newbie and people whom i have spoken with say, go for 150cc itself.

          I have read the various articles on websites however wondering should i place order before a road test review is out? And since the bike is a upgrade of Dazzler, personally if Dazzlers is a bike to ride on, then even the trigger will be worth buying.

          Thanks.

            I dont see any problems with the bike you selected. Other option could have been a GS150R or SZ-R.. But the rear disc on your selection is quite a nice feature to have.

                Re: For 1st time buyer

                Since you have said you prefer Yamaha & Honda Bikes moreover you want a mileage above 50kmpl. As a college student go for 125CC stylish bike Honda Stunner. 150CC bikes will not give mileage above 50kmpl in city rides.

                  I was considering Stunner, however with the news of launching 4 bikes a year, i feel stunner might be phased out in place of another 125cc bike, also the bike gives vibrations above 60km, thus for long drives wont be suitable.

                  Thanks though
