  • Should I buy an electric scooter?

    Hey guys!

We have an Apache RTR 200 4V carb 2019 model, and a Honda Activa-i at home with my wife commuting on the Activa everyday to work.
Considering the outrageous petrol prices, I have been looking to replace both these two-wheelers with electric scooters to save up on the unnecessary petrol costs every month.

I have been looking at many YouTube videos, but then it struck me - where else to ask my questions if not xBhp?

So, these are my big-picture requirements:
    1. My society currently doesn't allow a charging socket where we park, so I would need to charge the battery at home. Which means the bike needs to have a removable battery.
    2. I would require at least 55-60kmph top-speed since we both commute on Thane/Mumbai highways to work.
    3. A true on-road range of 90-120kms per charge is good enough for us both.

Also, I wanted to make use of the 0 road tax + 0 insurance + 0 registration charges + FAME2 incentive on offer from central and state govt which will reduce after Dec 2021 (atleast in Maharashtra).

I will be selling my Apache, but keeping the trusty Activa (just in case).

Should I buy an electric scooter? If yes, why? If no, why?

If yes, please help me choose between these options I am aware of:
    a. Pure EV ePluto 7G (looks awesome)
    b. Okinawa Praise Pro
    c. Okinawa iPraise

Please add any other options I may have missed.

    Thank you so much!
