Well I am going to buy a new bike.My budget is going to be around 2 lakhs. I have shortlisted the KTM DUKE 200 ABSNow with the release of the DUKE 390 I'm a bit confused on which bike to buyI will be buying the bike in Delhi but I have to move it to my hometown Bareilly. Query Approved

The safest way is to ride it there. If you need any volunteers to ride your 390 down to Bareilly via Nainital or something, I will be happy to help
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

Re: Ktm duke 200 abs or duke 390

I don't think D390 will be sub 2 Lakh. It can be a good 10 or 15k above that especially due to the fact that is going to come with the ABS(I think ABS is standard in D390). Anyways, there is quite a big difference between 390 and 200. 390 will be a lot more powerful and will give much lesser FE (I saw someone posting the speedo of 390 showing 38, but I don't think that will be the true FE, it would most probably be around 25~30 max). But since you are going for a premium bike I really don't think you would be too concerned about FE. Other than that, the 390 will mostly share everthing from the 200, except the engine ofcourse. So if you can build a little more capital, I would suggest the 390, it would be a much complete package with more fun than the 200. I expect the D390 OTR to be around 2.3~2.5 L but then again, that's just my opinion.

390 will be launched around 2.5L ex showroom at least that is what is the rumour from the probiking guys. So it will end up around 2.8- 2.9L on road. Yes it shares the same platform as the 200 but will come with a different paint scheme. About transportation well bikes like ninja come in metal cased crates from the company, you can check up whether the Duke too has a similar packaging. If so you can demand the packing material and transport your bike in the same to your destination.

Why not check the official website of KTM India for 'abs' on Duke 200 ?

And don't quote year old posts.

                    Ride safe and have fun.
