    Reliable 125cc for a college Goer

    Hello dear xbhpians need ur help to select my first bike as i'm a college goer need a super reliable 125cc bike with 50+ mileage & Gud Pickup
    1. Budget: 60 k
    2. Age: 19
    3. Height: 5`5
    4. Weight: 55
    5. Intended usage: College commute
    6. Fuel Efficiency requirement: 50+
    7. City & Highway percentage usage: 80 & 20%
    8. Approximate Daily: 10km
    9. City: Jamshedpur
    10. Brand / Bike type preference: No Hero, Honda & Bajaj pls
    Bikes i'm considering:
    Yamaha SS 125
    Suzuki slingshot
    Tvs Phoenix 125

      The first bike(ss125) considered by you would be the best choice. The problems with ss125 are comparatively lesser mileage and poor pickup with pillion rider.

            TVS Phoenix and Slingshot are still low on the sales charts, don't know when they'll be phased out.
            SS125 is a proven bike. But the sales of SS too is low these days with Honda/Hero/Bajaj 125 cc bikes dominating the market.
            From your list SS125 would be more sensible choice.

              Thanks 4 replying guys ss 125cc is good bike but im worried abt mileage now considering Tvs sport vs city which one is good guys looks doesn't matter comfort matters the most

                I get between 50-53 within Kolkata city and approx 55-58 on highways(7000 km.s done till date). I use HP power as fuel. I also don't mind 90+ kmph on highways.
                A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

                  Stay away from TVS Sport city, they'll give you good mileage, but would give you trouble in long run.
                  Also the suspension is too soft, resulting in bumpy ride.

                    i suggest you check the new mahindra centuro. When you go, check about the spares availablity & pricing (to compare if it is inline with other bike's spares prices).

                      You have not consider the hero.. they are the no. 1 brand in india..
                      I think you should seriously think about passion xpro.. Which has following features.

                      1. Tubeless tyres
                      2. Front disc break
                      3. 110 cc engine which produce good power for 2 people.
                      4. mac wheel & styling graphics.

                      Always go with leader so you wont be having any problem of parts and services..

                          You told you won't pick any Hero / Honda bikes in the beginning, now you have all Hero. cool.

                          HH deluxe won't be looking good for a college goer.
                          Go with Passion Pro / XPro.

                          Passion pro - proven engine, very good low end torque for city ride
                          Passion XPro- new engine, should be able to give same mileage as of Pro but better power, will be better on highways due to less vibey, more powered engine
