  • Pulsar 135 LS worth buying?

    Hi,

I was looking for sporty/good looking bike so I decided buy pulsar 135 LS.p135 suits me(my weight is 60kg, 5.6 feet height)but it seems on road price of p135 is costlier/overpriced. Its around 72k whereas p150 is around 81k.

So is that worth buying p135 or I should go for p150.

Would you guys help me to sort it out?
    Thanks.

Though I still consider the P150, the best 150CC bike in India, but in 2013, P135 is definitely worth it. Its new tech(4 valve engine), better handler, lighter, smoother. Only things, where it lacks is, the top speed(which you will never use it any way) and the traditional macho looks of Pulsar. Had I been in your place, I would have gone for 135. Test ride and decide.

If sporty looking bikes is your main factor with good fuel efficiency, performance bike and also reliable one, why don't you consider getting yourself the Honda CBF Stunner or Hero Ignitor, both are almost the same but they are good both looks and performance/FE, . .

        Cheers!!!

sam, thanks for your comment. People says p135 engine got worsen after a period of time. this is the only thing which is not letting me to buy this machine for 72k. i dont want to regret after buying this but still i love the look of p135. i'm confused. please guide me to decide on this.

Re: Pulsar 135 LS worth buying?

              Buddy,

I am too of 5.6 but a little heavier. I have ridden Pulsar 135 of my friends...the clip-on handle bars are pain to use, plus the seating ergonomics go only for shorter height persons. (the owner is little shorter than me). Otherwise, its a good performer.

I have seen in some reviews that quality of current Pulsar 150 has worsen, their engines too wear out too soon, though I myself have Pulsar 150 its works smooth still after 6 years. But I am not here to confuse. If quality is on question, try catching out some known mechanic from Bajaj service center and query them.

From the price point, 150 makes more sense. Also, its ergonomics are quite good for you.

              All the best.

All clip-op handle bar bikes are pain to use for first week. Same goes for contemporary P150. Infact P150 has heavy handling so expect pain for 2 weeks. ;D

overall p135 is a good bike but it vibrates a lot after 5500rpm....

Re: Pulsar 135 LS worth buying?

The Pulsar 200NS is without doubt the best Pulsar Bajaj has ever built.. but the next in line according to me is the Pulsar 135LS.

The P135LS handles better than the First Gen Pulsars (150, 180 and 220). Also the 4 valve engine on the P135LS revs much sweeter than the First Gen Pulsars. Vibrations might be there at certain rev range.. but the engine doesn't feel harsh and feels eager to rev to its redline.

Only issue could be that this bike probably doesn't have the same street presence and image of the bigger Pulsars. The Pulsar 135LS is quite an underrated bike for what it can perform.

Bajaj would most probably would discontinue pulsar135 LS after the arrival of pulsar 160NS/150NS as its already a competitor to there Discover 150 or say sales dipped after they started to offer 150cc discover at the price of 135cc pulsar .
