Re: Which 1? RE Thunderbird 350 or RE Classic 350

Classic is typically Royal Enfield product, old school thumper. You feel king of roads as soon as you start riding it. It has got all qualities of Bullet. If you like the thump of bullet (I love it!!!), go for it.
Thunderbird is altogether a different story, the characteristics are same but not the feel. Thumps are silent, quite less vibrations, relaxed seating position. Plus you get latest offering from RE : Better headlights, New looks, Mix of old and new school charm.

All this depends on what is your requirement. So, post them using the guidelines and fellow members can come up with possible solution.

I will sincerely suggest you that you go for Classic 500 if you can't afford TB500. I have ridden CL500 of my friend & it's the only RE product which has impressed me. The torque is just TOO much.

Thank you all. Actually, i am from Sikkim, a hilly region. I am 5 ft 4 inch tall, i have owned Yamaha RXZ n Pulsar 200 before n have not ride RE till date. I like Classic in looks but loved the features on TB like big fuel tank, projector head lamp, rear disk brake, etc.

Classic is purely RE old school.. Whereas ThunderBird is a mix of new and old..
depends on the taste of what you want..
TB has more technological gadgets and all.. While Classic keeps it simple..
i personally like the Classic more than the TB..

            Ride safe and have fun.

Suppose if i go for CL350 i want to put up alloy rim, tubeless tyre, change rear tyre to 130/90-17 and above all want to put up rear disc brake. What will be the expense, individually?

Mate then you should go for TB.. It has rear disc.. And other advanced featured..
yea you can opt for tubeless tyres and alloy rims.. And that won't cost you much..

i completely agree... go for 500 CC either classic or desertstorm.... i personally enjoy it more than TB and take back to back test rides of 350 & 500 CC, you will be instantly in love with 500

You said it.... Thunderbird 500 should be your choice. Seat height, projector lights, disk brakes make it perfect for hilly rides. Plus you would have Fuel Injected system which works flawlessly even in cold. I am not sure though if the ergonomics would work good for you as they are meant for highway cruising.

Thunderbird won't punch your pocket, 13-15k higher.

Still, test ride will make your mind clear.

Thank u guys for your valuable suggestions n finally i have decided on Classic 350 over TB 350.
Again, few questions on my head please help me
                      1. Seat height of TB is 775mm what about Classic?
                      2. If i have to change rear tyre of Classic to 130/90-17, is it advisable?
