      Hi Charles,

If u r really in love with that bike after using it for 3 months then I suggest u go for it. I also read abt it being phased out n all yet I bought it cos I was super impressed by it ride quality. Best part is u'll get "5 years warranty" which means they r liable to provide u optimum service.

The fact that Impulse did not do well in Indian market shows we do not have balls to accept unconventional things. An average indian biker will jump at any bike which looks good but the one which is purposefully built.

Also if an entire family cannot fit on the bike then its a major point of failure for bike as it defeats the purpose for them.

I am glad that Impulse is a steed not a mule. Given the stance, ground clearance, mileage friendly 150cc engine, good pick up, best suspension compared to any bike, this machine stands out in crowd. Its a cat amongst parking lot pigeons bro.

I'll buy upgraded version of impulse with bigger engine too if "Hero" can ever release it.

Greatness of a machine is not decided by its sales figure.

AFAIK, every manufacturer has to provide support for at least 5 years after the production is stopped for any bike. I still see CBZ Super Sprint running on roads till date. Yes, sourcing spares may be tricky, but not impossible. Yamaha still stocks few spares of RX series.

Coming to Impulse, it shares many spares across with Hunk, Xtreme, Unicorn etc, so it should not be an issue. You may have to wait for plastic body panels and head/tail light assembly in case you have a crash in future. Other consumables like acc cables, clutch cables, air filter, sprocket set, suspension etc won't be a problem for another 3-4 years at least.
        Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

There shouldn't any worries on Impulse's spares. As Divya Sharan said above, it shares many parts with XTreme/Hunk, which are having good sales figures (atleast XTreme).
Hero is ready with new 100, 110 and 25 engines with help of AVL and EBR, though there is no news on 150 cc yet. So these bikes incusing Impulse will continue to sell for atleast 2+ more years.

(I just checked the rear shocks of Impulse just by pressing the rear grab rails down, when I was in a Hero showroon, was surprised to see the soft setting of it. It should give you a plush ride!)
