  • Is 200NS a reliable one?

    Hi folks.
I'm Nave and i'm at my 21 now.
I'm planning to buy a bike and i'm in love with all new pulsar 200ns.
I'm happy with the bike, its performance, mileage and it suits for all my requirements.
Earlier, before NS was launched,it was FZ which i want to buy.But since i want some more power..when NS was launched,i automatically shifts to NS.
Now..to my problem. I want to get it clear that whether the all new Pulsar 200NS is reliable? In all reviews it is stated that NS is the best pulsar ever built and it is build to last.,etc.Please give me some expert advices on the reliability face of NS.
Whether the 3-spark tech in-cooperated with the bike be trouble free?
Whether NS could perform nicely upto a 5 year range?
Whether NS would face power and mileage drop as kilometers goes up?
    .
    .
To sum it up..i just want to know the NS's (engine and gearbox)'s quality, reliabilty and longevity !!
    please help me.
    thanks in advance

Well, there were a few old pulsars where testing phase was carried out by first lot of customers. Even after that they turned out very reliable. We all know how much 200ns was rigorously tested before it went on sale as we were following it.

        .
        .
        .
        .

any bike u choose will serve you faithfull and serve u long

if anyone tells you that bajaj to nahi chalega , it will go crap after 3 years tell them to shut up because i have seen pulsars run 90000km without any problems

If you are in love with the way it looks, close your eyes and just go for it. Give no second thoughts. Just love it and it would love you back even more (read timely service, cleaning and lubing, you are good to go)
It is a brilliant bike...errr except the tyres may be.

Just go for it.. Power doesn't fall after even 40-50k kilometres, mileage can. Five years is so much easy now that hero and some other manufacturers are giving 5 years warranty.
But yes, you need to visit svc somewhat more often for fixing minor problems like springs, brake pads etc.
I would recommend you go for it.

If I am correct, KTM 200 and Pulsar 200 engines are made in Chakan Plant in Pune. So, there is no question they are tested with highest standards and stringent testing before they roll out of production line.

Leave alone 5 years, you can take it upto 7+ years if timely maintenance is given (by timely, I mean when the bike and service book demands).

Pulsar are very reliable, specially Pulsar NS 200. JUST GO FOR IT.

Yes, 200 NS is reliable. But, if you can stretch your budget to D200, it is a lot more fun bike. You ride a D200 and 200NS back to back, you will feel the difference. If not, 200 NS is maximum bang for the buck. If you are in Bangalore there are a lot of good mechanics. It is the mecca of cars and bikes in India.

I would definetly recommend you to go for it...
You might probably hear a lot of your peer groups questioning the reliability of a pulsar... I can guarantee you that , as long as you take proper care till engine sets , and do routine engine oil change, pulsar could last a lifetime
P.s I'm 21 and using a pulsar for 4years and clocked 81k kms... Still going strong

I think it is better we don't start selling Dukes to first time buyers here. I agree that its a fine bike but we will not have full understanding of their needs and finances and hence simply telling them to go for Duke because we personally like it is not the way to go.
