currently using pulsar150..want to upgrade to pulsar200 but a bit worried about pillion seat, open chain same kerb weight like pulsar150..

also engine reliability..it becomes rough after 2years..but mileage only good about pulsar,..

kindly suggest the better option between two//

took test ride of trigger today..nice to ride and also less kerb weight..good handling and riding posture was great..only thing didn't like the headlight design.

yamaha trusted and proved..demerits: less mileage, open chain. may get dirty during rainy seasons. also old bike..

i need a lighter, refined engine and smooth riding than pulsar..with similar mileage...i mostly ride around 65-80kmph

    thanks,

If you really want to upgrade, why would you buy a 150cc again.. Better wait a few months.. Try to increase your budget.. And get a 200cc or 250cc bike..
Of thats not possible.. I would favour fz.. As i also own one.. Its really good for the city ride.. Quick acceleration and handling.. I din't know much about trigger..
Also as per your requirements.. Fz won't give you 40-45 km/L.. It keeps it around 35-40 only if you ride her really according to book..

      Ride safe and have fun.

i was planning for pulsar200ns ..but pillion seat is not good..also mileage would not be around-50kmpl.. kerb weight is also a factor..am looking for lighter weight bikes..got some back problems also due to riding pulsar for these years..

150cc is enough for me ..am not a avid biker also not for touring purpose..

three problems with FZS according to me: seating is somewhat low for me(my height is178cms), open chain so needs maintenance during rains and mileage..

rode trigger light weight, good seating , smooth engine..

If you have test drove the trigger and gelt comfortable.. Then go for it..
As for fz.. Seating is good.. I'm the same height as you, and never felt the seating low.. But the mileage is low compared to others..
Apache 180 is also good.. Test ride it also..

          Ride safe and have fun.

seating on both FZs and triger was somewhat odd for me fo th first time since i was driving pulsar with fairing.

but it felt very light..i felt trigger seating position was a little better than FZ (in my opinion).

apache-- good pickup, light weight, seating position not good, vibes.

Looks like you are preety comfortable with the Trigger..
better go with it.. Test ride her again to confirm that you truly feel comfortable with her..

Buddy, here are your replies :

You said : currently using pulsar150..want to upgrade to pulsar200 but a bit worried about pillion seat, open chain same kerb weight like pulsar150..
I Say : For your height, Honda is better suited. I test rode it once and even though I am 5"6', it felt like sitting like a king with hands with open. FZ has aggressive riding nature and seats do justice to that.

You Said : also engine reliability..it becomes rough after 2years..but mileage only good about pulsar,..
I Say : No body can beat Honda in engine reliability and refinement, its their USP !!! Thumps up.

You Said : took test ride of trigger today..nice to ride and also less kerb weight..good handling and riding posture was great..only thing didn't like the headlight design.
I say : With naked style headlights, its bound to happen and you have to like it that way. Experts can recommend any mods if that can be done.

You Said : yamaha trusted and proved..demerits: less mileage, open chain. may get dirty during rainy seasons. also old bike..
I Say : Correctly said and this makes Trigger a better proposition for you. Trigger has not proved itself, rather its earlier sibling (Dazzler) was a flop show, but you can rely on Honda.

You said : i need a lighter, refined engine and smooth riding than pulsar..with similar mileage...i mostly ride around 65-80kmph.
I say : Trigger is definitely lighter and smoother than Pulsar, but at the same time don't expect better performance figures than Pulsar. 80kmph is easy to achieve on any 150cc bike.

More comments : While test riding, I felt Trigger attained its Power only above 3000 rpm. I am not a fan of such performance and its a let down for me. Also, you will be happy with pillion ride on it rather than on FZ. The design is conservative again and also its handle design will put your hands more on relaxed side. I suggest you opt for Delux version of bike with CBS.

PS : I still think if efficiency and pillion comfort is removed, FZ is the best 150cc bike.

                  All the best.

                    thanks for the suggestions guys..

was considering GS150R..but weight issues, and service centers was a problem.

BTW was planning to sell old pulsar150 2005 dec model.. was quoted 12k/15k/10k..by second hand bike dealers.

the bike is in good condition ..somehow i feel they are quoting less..was planning to sell it for around 20-25k.

                    is the price justified?

Pulsar for 25k is completely justified. Pulsars are known to have very strong 2nd market, but you will only get it worth if you sell it by your own. Try posting on Quikr / Olx. College students are more attractive buyers than professionals.

As said above, post an ad in quikr/olx, you'll get better responses.
Second hand dealer's price and dealer's exchange price will always be lesser.

Trigger is a good bike, but still has not started selling well it seems.
Trigger should give you 5kmpl+ advantage over FZ in mileage. Also the HONDA engine is slightly better refined than FZ's.
If you like the looks of Trigger, then go for Trigger.

But in most reviews, FZ is concluded as overall better bike than Trigger.

yes styling wise, tyres, looks, pickup, VFM FZ is good than trigger.
only thing open chain case, big tyres (puncture prone), less mileage, rear disc brakes and also nil upgrades since launch is against FZ. though these are not big disadvantages over trigger.

yes trigger may not be selling like unicorn, but have seen some on roads. also dazzler was a good one too.. was planning to buy that one before trigger was launched.

hope my decision taking the abpve factors is right...

I forgot to mention that FZ doesn't have rear disk option, but you said it now. So now its simple, you like Trigger, go for it, you won't regret!

I think the trigger is not up to the mark, It's switches are really scrap. The head lights are not good, and I feel the break light is too bad(think like a Chinese one. There is no engine kill switch.I have TD two times, city and highway.
I found the brake pedal is just like a metal plate
In rainy season the bike doesn't have anything to prevent the rider's shoes and legs from being splattered with mud
I think it's not an eye catcher design
and the price nearly 1Lac OTR
                              Honda really disappointed me.
Even though Trigger have refined engine than Fz- only one advantage.
                              I will recommend Fz
