Re: Plz help me in selecting bike

Even though the bikes have different CC, they would be around your budget.

Rule out TVS Victor, its a failure bike. My dad had sold it after 7 years of frustration. He has HH Super Splendor and even though he uses it once in fortnight, it starts instantaneously and runs smoothly always.
2004 CBZ should be a good choice since it was immensely popular machine from HH stable. The owner might ride it rough and so needs in-depth diagnosis before you bring it home. 9 years it too big time for a 150cc bike.

I would suggest you go for younger of the lot i.e. Zeus or Yamaha depending on availability of service centers.

Try searching in forum for pointers you should consider while buying second hand bikes.

        All the best.

Hi Rookie, I purchased Hero Honda Ambition in August 2013 till date it was working fine , after purchasing i had changed the engine oil, did some minor repair work, but now when i am starting the bike it give clicking sound which remains almost constant at low and high speed and sometime even it disappears in running condition and the sound starts again the monent i stop. I showed to some of the mechanics one said its the sound of connecting rod, second said its the sound because of the piston which may be of linning on it, third mechanic said its the sound of timing chain and connecting rod is nothing to do with this type of sound as the sound is coming from the upper portion of the engine (the valve area) please suggest and help me so that i can solve the problem. Thanks

Sir, what's your budget cap? I get from your posts that you're in MUM.
I have seen a very few ZEUS bikes on the road to be frank, but so are other Suzuki bikes too. In BLR, I have seen more Busas than Hayate!

What prices are being quoted for Victor? Its a good bike and it wouldn't have sold in good numbers (particularly North India) had it been a flop bike!
Give us your budget limit as well as the quoted prices for the above mentioned bikes.
              Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

I get it should had been loosened at the top, don't know the correct word of that, but if you just open up the engine it'll be there on the top itself, might be the sound coming from there or else guess it's the chain you were speaking about inside the engine. . .

PS: May be some more knowledgeable can help him with the appropriate words. . .

Your choices with year's quote says that your budget is in range of 15k - 35k.

Second bike that too from 2005/2006/2007 years??
Why don't you decide what actually you are looking for ??
Average ?? performance ?? or average with performance ??

I would suggest now we have plenty options to own a bike. So if you are looking for daily use then surely I would say go with NEW bike only.
Else it's your choice. Go with any bike which is very light on maintenance side i.e Hero or Honda. These bikes are very less prone to maintenance with good value for money.

                    Average wise stick to 100-125cc.
