  • Selecting a Bike

    Hellow Members,

Currently I am having Hero Honda CD Deluxe bike and has given good service. I want to buy a new bike and my requirements are as given below. I request you to provide me the available options.

    1. Budget: Max upto Rs. 1.25 Lacs
    2. Current bike is getting punctured a lot. Have changed the tyre and tube but still it does. Need a bike which supports this mean no punctures.
    3. I travel daily 80 Km so the mileage should be economical but not the first priority.
    4. Need good driving comfort and should have good suspension.
    5. Should have front disc brake.

    Please suggest me.

Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

As per your daily usage, i would suggest you Karizma. Its a comfortable bike and has decent mileage..
as for puntures, these depend on the roads you ride on..

      Ride safe and have fun.

If you don't really need powerful bikes, as u have not mentioned about power, so..
Honda Unicorn fits your bill completely,
Mileage + rear mono suspension(comfort) + tubeless tyres + front disc + reliable..
"Madness", as you know, is a lot like gravity, all it takes is a little push !

I say if you could extend the budget a tad bit more, go for the Duke 200!!

I do agree with the others... well Karizma and Duke are the best choice for the kind of budget you have.. make sure that whatever you buy, get the one with tubeless option and make sure that wherever you live, theres a puncture shop nearby who could fix the tubeless tyres Best of luck bro..

+1 for @metaphoric.el. Unicorn should be your perfect bike. Other, I would suggest Hero CBZ too due to same reasons. You need very comfortable and efficient bike which these bikes would cater.

                    Yes,please..wait for 375 if possible.
If not go for zmr/karizhma/220 cause thats way better than b350 for long rides!
200 ns lacks low range torque which is not a great thing for a mile muncher.220 also is a great choice.

Thanks a lot. I think I dont need much powerful bikes and the Honda Unicorn fits really well. Just one more doubt whats the difference between honda unicorn and honda unicorn dazzler? Which one is good considering my criteria?

                        Re: Selecting a Bike

AFAIK, the Unicorn Dazzler looks much better, has rear disc brake etc. The engine is not as smooth and silent as the one in the CB Unicorn and I read somewhere that because the suspension is tuned for handling, ride may not be as comfortable as in a CB unicorn. Think about the +ves and -ves and decide yourself.

Test ride Honda trigger..dazzler is discontinued..

trigger better than unicorn..(full digital speedometer/dual disc/light weight)

                              Comfortability and handling -
                              Karizma ZMR/ZMA (within budget)
                              Unicorn (way below budget)
                              FZ (way below budget)

A bit performance oriented with slight compromise on comfortability -
                              Pulsar 220/200 NS (within budget)
                              Duke 200 (beyond budget warning)
                              CBR 150 (beyond budget warning)
