    Best Bike to buy- 300 km weekend Trip - for couple- so pillion seat a must !

    Hi,
    I need to buy a bike in Jan 2014 as I am shifting to Bangalore. I intend to ride to Mysore from Bangalore(200km) every weekend.
    I need a good power bike with good pillion seat as my wife would be with me for all these trips. Budget is between 1 - 2 Lakhs.

    Please suggest. Many thanks in advance!

        2 Lakhs --> CBR 250. Adequate power. relaxed. tourer. full faired.
        2 Lakhs --> KTM 390. if pillion and you are super fit would love the togetherness when bike accelerate like crazy

        Wait for P375. full faired with projector expected.

        1 Lakhs
        ZMR with fi. good for 100+ speed.. but definitely pretty low power than CBR.
        pulsar 200NS - pretty refined Pulsar. relaxed than duke 200.

        going below that you have Unicorn. Fazer.. etc..

        cruiser you can try Avenger 220.. as the roads are smooth and straight.. not very good for offroading though.
        90K + 2.5K for windshield.



        what is your current bike? that will make it easier to understand, what power upgrade on highway means for you

          You also have an option of RE Classic 500.

          Or else CBR 250 is your best bet.

            In the present market, CBR 250 abs is the best bet for you,,
            has good power.. Pillion comfort is also good and with abs, is safe to ride.. And also mileage isn't bad either..
            or you could wait.. Many bikes are to be launched next year..
            Ride safe and have fun.

              Go with old karizma for pillion comfort and decent power. Bangalore Mysore highway stretch has lost the true meaning and now with speed breakers its a chaos. The old horse still holds good and considered one of the favorite touring machine and reliable.

                Thanks - seems my best 2 options currently are a) CBR 250 and b) KTM 390.
                You mentioned P375 - do you have more details?

                My last bike? way back to 2007 with a splendour !! so I just want to get back to bike ride

                  Take the Bullet Raja.. Comfort for pillion and rider both and since you would be doing mysore-Bangalore what else could give more pleasure on highway

                    Go with CBR250 or TB500.
                    TR it and see..
                    Both are best touring bikes!!
