  • TVS Wego vs Jupiter

Trying to decide between Wego and the Jupiter. Any experience with the rear suspension?
wifey felt the wego suspension was better at handling pot holes.
Jupiter was a bit stiff, but had wider seat.
The rear suspension is the same in both scooters - Swing arm with spring hydraulic and gas filled mono suspension.

Between the two, the Jupiter is the better one.

I doubt that even the wego has better rear suspension. I have 1 month old wego that has literally useless rear suspension while solo driving. I changed to this Wego for the sole reason of back pain. Looking forward for the Auto expo!!

I felt the wego ride comfort was way better compared to activa.
Which scooter would you recommend for pillion rider comfort.

The rear suspension in the Jupiter is gas charged. Giving it a more plush and firm ride. I rode as a pillion on it and it was comfortable even on bad roads, though it was for a short distance.

The bikes suspension is far superior than the previous generation Activa that i had.

Don't all gas-charged suspensions come with preload adjustment? In that case, reducing the preload will make the suspension a little softer.

Is this something the authorized dealers would do on request?

Adjusting preload can be done by owner himself. Mostly, the tools will be provided with the scooter. Otherwise you can check with the service center guys, they will do it.
Jupiter makes more sense compared to Wego.

Sir! I was talking about solo rides and not about the pillion!!
My aunt has a 10 year old scooty (which I owned previously) and it got better suspension than this. The whole rear section of Wego drops abruptly on pot holes and all the vibes come directly to my back.

Nop, no difference. Go for what whoever-it-is-for likes.

P.S.: I want a Wego for the wheels and all its suspension jazz, Dad wanted the Activa for it male-friendly look. Luckily the Jupiter was launched. Booked one, bought one. Dad & I, both satisfied with the product.

I would second that. Go for Jupiter than activa. Better pick up, best ride seats, great looks (black alloys). I have been driving Jupiter since 10-01-2014.

                        Hi Mulli84,

Did you get a chance to take a ride on Jupiter.
Does it makes more sense than Wego in your opinion.

                        Regards,

Wego is better than jupiter in terms of body balance and power delivery, jupiter pickup is slow/irritating between 20km~45km compared to activa and wego. But some may find problem with wegos stepped up rear seat.

                          ps: My father owns Jupiter
