  • Need a second hand gearless bike

    Dear Friends:

I need to buy a second hand bike for my wife. I am based in mumbai.

Please suggest wether i should go for a TVS scooty pep or any other ? I have heard from many that scooty pep parts are not easily available.

My wife does not know to ride hence going for a second hand bike which can be used for her to learn and use for at least 2 to 3 yrs ahead.

Can go for a new one later.

My major concern is height and weight. My wife's height is 5.1 feet.

I personally feel scooty is good for her. My budget is 20K.

    Pls help.

    Query Approved

Scooty pep series are very good and packs very good punch for beginners. And the spares avlblty isn't true, as long as you have a TVS showroom near you, you wouldn't have any problems as such, unless you really live in far off suburbs.

You can even consider TVS Wego with body balance, which works real good.

    Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

    THE END

thanks for the approval. well as said above my budget is 20k...and 2nd had wego aint that cheap. so the choice is scooty for me...hav seen 1 of 2005...the owner has kept it well...rather he has changed the entire body feom tvs showroom itself...so looks as good as new. has run less than 10000 as he says...my doubt is just below 10k in 10 yrs... can it be true. i will show the same to a mechanic for 2nd opinion...if all well will go ahead. what say

Also how much trustworthy are the reviews from mouthshut.com ? I find many negative reviews for scooty on that site.

Can anybody shed some light on the pros and cons of buying a second hand scooty. also what all things i need to check while buying a second hand scooty.
