Re: Guys am l making any mistake to buy CB Trigger as my first ride?
Highly exaggerated on XBHP! It won't break your bones. Don't people ride Harleys and Bullets? Its a high revving machine which sadly doesn't have a counter balancer to even out the residual forces in the engine, but nothing to worry about. You must get used to the riding stance though!Originally posted by newbiker1990 View Post
Highly optimistic. Would need you to ride in Splendor mode all the time and even then you might miss out. Keep 42-44 kmpl under very controlled riding conditions. But Fz sounds better option and the yamaha showroom manager assured me that fz gives 50+ milage in city..

Re: Guys am l making any mistake to buy CB Trigger as my first ride?
fzs will not give you 50+ buddy....35-40kmpl when u will ride in splendor mode30-35kmpl when u will ride it like a ktm...sometimes it goes below 30 aswell...fzs lack petrol efficiency but scores in every other department.....choose wisely what u wantOriginally posted by newbiker1990 View PostI have read many reviews saying apache vibrates on higher rpms. But Fz sounds better option and the yamaha showroom manager assured me that fz gives 50+ milage in city..

Ok here's the thing, why not try out Apache RTR160, only thing you got to compromise is on the vibs which you will forget once you start riding it, I personally love riding my cousin's RTR180 every now and then and don't feel those vibs a problem now. . . Else, try out Sz-RR, why isn't anyone mentioning this. . ?
Again as I stated, if you can postpone it for some months' time, the Gixxer 155 seems like a good machine. . .
Before taking any decision, test ride all. . .
Cheers!!!

Re: Guys am l making any mistake to buy CB Trigger as my first ride?
Now we are talking and AFAIK - You are making no mistake buddy Trigger ticks all your boxes so I would say go ahead. If possible go for CBS one - its worth every pennyOriginally posted by newbiker1990 View PostMy requirements are-

1. Sporty looks - Yes
2. Better mileage(45-50 city, 60 highways.) - yes (40-50kmpl)
3. Comfortable riding - yes (mono-shock is not a gimmick)
4. Less maitenance - Yep Honda after all but spares may take its own sweet time
The only other bike would be GS 150 but doesn't have monoshock or Gixxer 150 but its new . so...

I researched on many options which can fulfill all my requirements and then decided to go for CB Trigger..Originally posted by nelson_sanjoy View PostNow we are talking and AFAIK - You are making no mistake buddy Trigger ticks all your boxes so I would say go ahead. But the options other than Cb Trigger would compell me to sacrify or make adjustments on a requirement or two.
So I guess guys Trigger is my ride..
Isnt she?
But i'll check apache too...

Bro you cannot have everything in ONE bike that is why I asked you for your requirements.Originally posted by newbiker1990 View PostI researched on many options which can fulfill all my requirements and then decided to go for CB Trigger..

GS 150 has an extra cog , Gixxer will have novelty while Apache may have a slightly better performance and please understand these are very good rides in their own right.
Now where Trigger scores for you is its will be more comfortable (read mono-shock with upright stance) which none of the above have.

If you can wait, then i'm sure it will be worth the wait. Not only the new pulsars but many new bikes are going to be showcased at the Auto expo in Feb.Originally posted by newbiker1990 View PostOh.. here is a twist in the story...
