It is very hard to choose a different motorcycle in the same segment after all the years of riding Unicorn. CBZ Xtreme matches the quality and comfort of Unicorn.

I own SZ-R since last 3 years, I dont ride it much just 19K kms in 3 years as I have office transport for daily commute. One thing I can tell you about SZ-R, it has very less maintenance, wear and tear parts also doesnt run-out very fast, Yamaha quality is very good and I can vouch on it after using it for 3 years. The bike has no vibes even at high speeds, it is very torquey.
One thing I would like to tell you about this bike, the mileage of this bike is not higher side, you can expect anything between 40 kmpl to 55 kmpl depending upon your riding style. Importantly the mileage of this bike depend upon how you treat it during the run-in.
Take a TD of the bikes mentioned by fellow xbhp friends and then decide. I can surely now say that SZ-R is indeed a VFM bike.

Re: Confused Need Help figuring out a bike around 80K for a very COMFORTABLE 40km Com
well did a good test ride with the GS 150 R (friends), an apache RTR 160 (bothers), and a short test drive of the Trigger (showroom).
The Apache I was not at all comfortable.
Trigger was good, but for some reason didnt like the console and the headlight assembly. The ride was similar to a Unicorn. Comfortable and smooth.
With all this I have decided to go with the GS 150 R as I liked the comfort that it provided.

Nice decision. The comfort level is too good on that bike. And I personally don't like the looks of Trigger at all.~Accelerate Fast ! Brake Faster~

Re: Confused Need Help figuring out a bike around 80K for a very COMFORTABLE 40km Com
Guys,
need a bit of help...
I went today to get the GS 150 R.
Being a "not so popular" bike, the dealer only had two bikes on hand...
i had requested a black bike.. i failed to notice that the one that they were planning on giving me was the display one...
Nevertheless, i did the check of the bike before signing the purchase order, found the bike in order (based on suggestions/threads on this site.. a big thank you!)...
Paid up.. and got home.
on coming home, my wife on a hunch, asks me to confirm with them that it is not the display model....
I called and asked, the sales man confirmed that it was not the display one...I even told the guy that even though if it was the display i was ok with the bike as i had checked it.. he confirmed that no it wasnt the display one...
Was asked to come in the evening to pick up the bike...
Here's where the fun starts:
I went to the showroom, see that the display for 150 r is missing..
So I ask the guy where is the display one, hes says they have moved it to the top floor, thats where they have the store ( a weird one, they have it on the terrace of the building open to all the elements...)...
I asked to let me see it.. he then says no, they have moved it to a sub dealership..
i ask him, tell me the truth, is it the display piece, he still says no..
This is where i lose my cool.. tell him that I can see that it is the display piece that he is outright lying.. if they were going sell me the display one they should have let me know outright.. and because i had checked the vehicle i was ok with it ..
still he persisted.. and that is when i told him.. i dont care.. even though I was ok with the display one, I am not going to take delivery of THAT vehicle.. just on the fact that they were lying about it..
this is when the manager i presume comes in and starts telling me that its not a perishable thing so on..and he and another sales man confirm that it is indeed the display one..
All of this behavior is suspicious...and I insist that they can keep my money and I am not taking delivery of the vehicle...
That is when the other sales man clams thing down and says that he will place a new order and get me a new vehicle..
And one interesting thing was that earlier in the day when I asked, when was this vehicle manufactured.. the sales manager had mentioned that it was 3-4 months old but on the RC card it would come as Jan-2014 and that he would not be getting deliveries for latest batch of GS 150 R till march-april..
And now when i had insisted that I would not take the bike, somehow they would be managing to get me a new lot vehicle in 7 days...
What are your thoughts?
Any friends of xBhp in Suzuki that would set things straight?
Any documents that mention the vehicle manufacturing date, in cars we have the form 22, do we have something like this in Bikes?

^^
Though I do not have exact answer of your querry. You should look at the different parts of the vehicle where the mfg date of that particular part should be written. This may give you a rough idea of manufacturing date of the bike.

Re: Confused Need Help figuring out a bike around 80K for a very COMFORTABLE 40km Com
I am a little less worried now..yesterday put some feedback on the site and ask them to call me to talk about this..
within 10 min had a call from the area manager.. Was very impressed that they took the feedback seriously..
Let the area manager know of what had happened at the show room and how badly it reflects on the company and its processes..
it seems he took it up with the Showroom and now I have, assurances from both the sales manager and the area manager that everything will be to perfection...
