    Planning to buy a new bike in 2-3 months, let me know which bike is worth investing?

    Hi Guys!!

    I had a FZ-16, which i used for a year and sold it. I then had to choose performance and mileage. So, i opted for Pulsar 220 DTSI in 2009 and still using it.

    My cousin drove it for a couple of days and is planning to buy it. I go to office by cab mostly, so i can wait for some time to buy a new bike.

    My budget is 1 Lac and if it a exceptional bike, i can invest another 20K-30K.

    Following are my requirements:

    1. Minimum Engine capacity 200cc (other CC's also considered if its a exceptional bike)
    2. Easy to drive in city traffic/long drive (I am from Hyderabad)
    3. Good amount of power/torque/handling
    4. Stylish/Trendy looks
    5. NO Yamaha - RI5
    6. Decent Mileage figures

    Can you guys guide me buying a exceptional bike I will be grateful for doing so, thanks in advance. Happy Driving!

        U can opt for bullet classic 350 it has good mileage around 40-50 kmpl.because i have purchased pulsar 200ns it is best in all department except in some for example it need wind shield,small looking bike in the segment,very less engine sound even when r u crusing at 100kmph speed.pulsar 200 ns is totally different from bajaj bikes that are made till date.



        Pulsar 200ss,new karizma in new look power 20bhp and karizma r power 19.2 is coming within 6 months

          Since your budget is 1.3L at max, there are no bikes that can be considered an upgrade to P220 in terms of power or torque. Also, your usage isn't high. Save some and buy a D390 later in the year.

            Honestly speaking, no bike is worth "investing".
            Ideally when you look at an investment, you look at returns, but a motorcycle being a depreciating asset would not really give you that.

            So pick up a junked trashed RD350, rebuild it, and then sell it for a profit. Thats "investment"
            Alternatively, you can choose better words for your query the next time.

              At 1 lac budget, the 200NS fits perfectly for your needs but if you want a faired bike, then wait for the 200ss, which I hope will come under your budget. . .

                Maybe he is talking about investing himself emotionally

                Jokes aside, the only bike I can recommend is P200NS which will fit within the budget, but I can't really call it an upgrade over the P220.

                  Here is an example - The Vintagent: 'TOP 20' MOTORCYCLE PRICES AT AUCTION

                  You invest your 'time' in some activity. Do you get 'time' in return of that investment? Will investing 1000 hrs of your youth give you 100 hrs of youth when you reach old age?

                  Threadstarter would invest his money in a bike and get many priceless things in return. Its a prudent investment.

                  If you have something to contribute, only then open your mouth. I dont want to invest my time on reading such stupidity of yours.


                  @a.umesh - Cant figure out a bike for you at the moment. You will have to wait for something like the HX250R. Expect 1.5L on road somewhere in September.

                          From your post, what I could understand is that you want a performance bike with decent mileage. You have the best match (p220) already with you . As you are in no rush I think you can wait for sometime and see the bikes like hx250r,Gixxer 155, 200SS launched and then make a call.
                          Its crime to ride a car alone, so I ride bike :).

                            Replying late, but [MENTION=47715]muztariq[/MENTION] never recommended you a used bike. The link mentioned above was intended for another member on the forum.
                            P200SS is yet to come out, we'll have to wait and watch.

                            Bikes that you can look forward to:
                            Bajaj Pulsar 200SS (expected around 1.2-1.4L OTR), Hero Moto HX250R (expected around 1.5-1.6L OTR)
