  • Apache 180 ABS, Pullser 200NS or Avenger 220?

    Hello Friends,

I am planning to buy my first bike in one month but bit confused with my list.
    1) TVS Apache 180 ABS
    2) Bajaj Pulser 200NS
    3) Bajaj Avenger 220 DTSi

Budget is 1 lakh, my daily commute will be around 16 kms in city and some adventurous rides around pune's ghats and long drives on weekends. Initially I think Apache will be the best one for me because it comes with ABS and I am very much concern about safety. I like the looks of 200NS and Avenger is best for long rides as it is most comfortable (as I believe). So the experts, please come ahead and give me your valuable feed backs what should I do? Will Apache fulfill all my needs on top of providing me safety and long ride comfort? Please suggest me ASAP so that I can book one for me.

    Thank You Buddies.....

No need to even think. If you can afford it, Then 200ns it is,
If you're short on money, then you may look for rtr or avy,

Another query of same type in recent times. Threads should be merged.
BTW, my vote: P200NS. The perfect for both city and long rides.
For your convinience, test ride each one numerous times and decide.

Apache 180 if you are REALLY concerned about safety. The 180 can be a good city tool as well as a corner craver. There will not be a "HEART IN THE MOUTH" situation with the ABS model. Only thing of concern is the TVS tyres known for their hydroplaning character which slips even while riding in the drizzle ..! Pulsar IMO has improved a lot on the braking front this is good news for an experienced enthusiast.. but for the novice and panicky guys this wont serve as a good news.. so the brakes are sharp ..a tad more sharper for the inexperienced... but NS scores better than the RTR in long distance touring, 6th gear overdrive+nitrox monosuspension and almost upright riding position aids in comfort.. So if you don't want to trade safety for highway cruising power and comfort RTR is it and vice versa its the NS, Avenger does not fulfill your needs as much as the RTR and NS. AND ALWAYS TAKE A T.D:thumbup:

I think NS out of those is the winner.
Best value for money in the sense if technological advancement. Nothing in that range comes near to NS.

              Hello ishan,
In my opinion if you are an avid tourer and want a touring bike within Rs 1 lac, then you can consider P 200 NS or the P 220.
P 200 NS for its awesome bang for buck (ps I ride one), for awesome brakes, new tech. and upright ride position.
P 220 for fairing, so that you can ride at high speed without any wind blasts. Also for somewhat better mileage.

But if you need 23.5 horses pushing you ahead of the crowd and great maneuvers through city, then go for NS and buy some riding gear too.

If any further difficulty in choosing, then take test drives and then decide.

The bold part is the answer!!
Price wise both are very close few Ks here and there!!

If you are less then 5.5Ft then go for RTR.
If you are concern for 40kmpl+ then RTR
                If ABS/Safety then RTR..
                Good agility in city

Belive me ABS is must in INDIA!! all season road works, gravels, passing blind pedestrians and king 4 wheeler etc !! it helps a lot!!

                NS200 when you are 5.5ft+
If you need that extra 5-6 bhp
If you can change the tyres after purchasing the bike!!

Don't mind but some where I feel people go for NS200 just because
they don't want to spend Rs 1.4L approx over Duke, you save those extra 10Ks with NS200.
