  • Cbr 150r or apache rtr180 abs or duke 200

    Hello Friends,

I am planning to buy my first bike in one month but bit confused with my list.
    1) CBR 150R
    2) TVS APACHE RTR 180 ABS
    3) DUKE 200

I was thinking about Apache because it comes with abs and I am very much concern about safety, I like the looks of Cbr and Duke, but as a newbie i am afraid of wheels locking up in case of panic breaking. And please tell if i should wait and see whether Duke 200 abs comes to India.

What are your requirement/expetations from the bike. Elaborate. It will help us to suggest you. Although if abs is a must in your list I would say wait for pulsar ss200. It has modern technologies and is overall a very good bike.

If you are much concerned about your safety and fear of crashing, then you may go for RTR 180 or else take a look at pulsar 200 ns.
Otherwise if you can wait, then wait for a few months for the new products to be launched and then decide.

If you are looking for safety..try and ride slower! Abs comes into play usually on a slushy road or when its raining.. So think, would you really need abs so much while riding?! My advice would be to go for KTM.. Its a powerhouse!

All the three are different yet capable bikes. Apache is good for city traffic, Cbr is a smooth jet on highways and Duke is an outstanding performer. Now think of your requirements. Personally I don't think abs is that important.

its mainly for city ride of 10-15 km and occasionally some highway trips, low maintenance cost, fuel average of (30-35), i don't have to take it to the svc every now and then, and SAFETY above all. well pulsar i dont like them.

Frankly speaking, if its for city primarily then please avoid Honda CBR 150R. Not that its a bad bike, but you'd only be shifting gears whole day long. Go for Duke if you have the moolah, else RTR 180.

it doesn't mean if you drive slowly you will be safe. the roads here in Guwahati are very bad so i think for a newbie like me abs is important.
