  • queries about classic 350

    Hello

Guys I have booked a classic 350 three months ago and now I am expecting its delivery. But I am having some last moment thoughts.Actually I am worried about its weight and niggles it faces.
Regarding the weight,I am thinking what would happen if it falls upon me or will I be able to handle its weight when some other bike hits me on my handle and it dis-balances then will i be able to stop it from falling using my foot?
And about the niggles,I have heard that royal enfields are so un-reliable that it could ditch me in-between a road. And it has a lot of issues and every now and then I have to rush to a service centre. And as I am new rider, and don't know the specific way to drive the enfields I will have to face the problem every time.

Other bikes that I like are cbr 150r and duke 200.how are these bike's maintenance, reliability and performance?I have heard that cbr is not good for city use as it has low end torque and duke's tires have to be changed frequently and it faces reliability issues like enfields.I prefer cbr 150r more because of its pillion as sometimes i have to ride with my mom.but I like duke more and go for it if my mom can easily sit on it and last but not the least if classic is good i will go for it without thinking a bit.

    please help.thanks

Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Bro every bike has its own pros and cons. I believe Classic 350 is a very good choice.

Classic 350: relaxed city commuter, very good tourer. Suitable for pillion riders like mom or wife in sarees.

Duke 200: Nice machine, fun to ride. Complete city bike. But not for pillion riders.

CBR150R: Very potent bike for city commuting as well as touring and leisure day track ride. But at that price range I would like to pay some 30k more and get a CBR250R.

You have already made a choice of Classic 350. To me it is a good bike. Leg guard is always your savior in any kind of crash (saves your leg). It is well grounded and from my ride experience I can say once the wheels starts rolling you won't feel the weight though it is felt at parking speed, but that shouldn't bother you. A friend of mine owns one, so sometimes I do get a chance to hop into it and I like my ride with her. The ride of Classic 350 is way different from other bikes. Current days bullets are not that unreliable and serves you good , just make sure you do the routine maintenance.

Actually CBR has less low end torque hence not ideal for city use. You'll have to frequently change gears.
If you like bullet go for it, it is good for city commute.
