  • Daily commuter for a big guy:)

Hello everybody, I have an aeging p150 classic that I have clocked nearly 80, 000kms on... im a college goin bloke and I love my ride...
Right now family responsibility is forcing me to go for either a car or a scoot! Car vs scoot cant be discussed here. So im deciding what car and what scooter then il let my mind boggle between them:P I will retain my p150 classic as my weekend warrior, the scoot will be my daily driver/rider, will ferry my nephew a lot and a lot of shopping bags (yes sister loves shoping, guys with sisters will understand). I see the scooter market has groen a lot now a days, maybe not like lmls hay day but it has still grown huge...
Ps im a big guy 6ft 2 , 80kgs and no im not fat gymming keeps me happy, and I look like I need a bullet
    Here is my requirements.

    1. Budget- no budget as such (but then I would be happy ifnits cheap:P)
    2. Age- 21 yrs
    3. Height- 6ft 2
    4. Weight- 80
    5. Intended usage - College commute, shopping, ferrying my nephew a lot, and did I mention sisters shopping?
    6. Fuel Efficiency requirement- I heard scoots suck here... 40 to 45 and I'll be happy.
    7. City & Highway percentage usage(99% city 1% highway)
    8. Approximate Daily running- 15 kms
    9. City - kolkata... (chock a block jamm packed traffic...bumper football arena!)
    10. Brand / Bike type preference ( I like the way a yammmie ray z looks and I prefer yamaha or honda/her simply because tvs scoots (except scooty) are a rare sight and parts sourcing are difficult I heard for jupiter etc, and bajaj has a scooter?)
I dont knoe why but I loved the lml sensation and lml scooters because they were macho and hell cheap to run, parts are difficult otherswise id buy and restore a used one!) Plus they would look better on my frame sice im so small na:banghead:

A maestro and activa feel weird and dated, ray z looks nice but I heard its small! No vespa please...

Hey, Jupiter looks good for you. It is a strong built ride and you will not look awkward riding it. Plus it has many features to its list.
Check the xBhp review of Jupiter.

As for Ray, its a light-weight ride and i think it will look small on your.

(Have ridden only these two, so can't comment on other options)

      Ride safe and have fun.
      Regards
      Nadeem

        Suzuki Swish 125
        Honda Activa 125

Upcoming Hero's 150cc Scoot, or what was it?

Also, do share the story when you decide what to purchase, a car or a scooter and loads of photos.

Indian version all are carbed and lower compression ones still 200cc means more power than an activa!
Imagine if the fi and higher compression versioncsme to india and uncles in 200cc fi scooters began smokin ns and apaches! (No offence! )
It will still make about 13 to 15bhp low weight and 55k showroom price
I will find one 200cc now

Go for a ray z. It wont look too small and is a good reliable scoot.

As for lml, they got stung badly when the scooter market died in india due to the govt regulations and lack of technical advancement of 2t tech in India. So it wld be a while before they come back in full force, if they ever do.

                            But bibhu sir,
They are already back their website is up and even quite a lot of dealers are there,
I have to test ride the ray z
Dealers here allow test rides only if I book the vehicle,
One dealer told me you can test ride the vehicle being preppedfor delivery
                            To which I said no
                            Its so sad.
