    Confused between 125cc Scooters

    Hi,
    I am from Chennai and I want a scooter for daily usage and somewhat more power!!
    I want to know which has out-right acceleration and decent mileage!!
    So I decided 125cc may give me more power than the 100-110cc range!
    I have seen the Honda Activa 125 arrived in the market!
    Budget: Rs. 57-67k
    I narrowed my list to 3 scooters:

    ~ Honda Activa 125
    ~ Suzuki Swish 125
    ~ Mahindra Rodeo RZ 125

    and suggest me if any!

    The Activa 125 looks promising with best-in-class features like disc-brake, improved suspension, digital speedometer, etc. The power figures are very good!

    Now the Swish comes here. I have recieved some negative feedback like not starting, engine stalling, etc But they said torque is very good!

    The Rodeo RZ covered my heart with unexpected Best-in-Class features like 22 lit storage, All digital speedometer and tachometer, front fuelling, Z engine setup from SYM, Comfortable seats, Pro SUS suspension system, etc!!! But, Here comes some bad reviews. I read that the original Rodeo(not RZ) was a worst engineering
    I also read that it didn't give mileage more than 35 kmpl, and engine noise problems


    Now get me to the correct way(scooter)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      I am now present at Bangalore, Going to Chennai tomorrow.
      After going to Chennai, According to your suggestions, I will Test Drive and book a scooter.
      And what is the waiting period for these scooters?

          Are there any problems in mahindra rodeo rz as mentioned above? are they true?

                You have not provided your requirements clearly. But, after going through your query, I think Honda activa 125 makes sense. It looks superior even without disc brake option, to swish or rodeo. Honda After sales service is far far better than Suzuki or Mahindra. And, Activa will always have good resale value. Its a blind pick of the lot.

                    @TS: Activa 125 is new to market. It's not been reviewed much but it will come soon. Not to mention it's the second pricey 125 scooter after the vespa. Try for a TR. If your are satisfied, go ahead or go with swish 125.

                    Ps: TR the lets 110 from Suzuki. It's really good in performance.

                    BTW where do you live in Chennai?

                        Thats why! I have read those articles more than 100 times!!!!!

                          Any counter example in your URL bookmarks for VBOX timings?

                          Besides, if you ask me with TVS-Jupiter & Suzuki-Let's as options; I might suggest TVS-Jupiter.

                            I reside at Mylapore near Mandaveli and I am Buying through CSD Canteen. My dad is an Ex-ARMY.

                            I saw the CSD List and there were 4 scooters. Tvs Wego(No Jupiter), Suzuki Access and Swish(No Let's), Hero Pleasure and Maestro, Honda Activa, Activa -i, Dio, Aviator(No Activa 125)

                            The List that I saw is 5|4|2014 Updated list! Activa 125 and Let's Came after that date only! So, They are yet to update the list!!!

                              I've been using suzuki access for the last
                              27000 kms and not a single prob faced in the engine till date. Changed consumables like brake pads, tyres, air filter etc. but no engine parts. As swish also carries the same engine, it should be reliable. And the mileage I'm getting is 42+ in the city and 50+ in highways. I reside at the base of the hills so its not plain here. So I'm sure in the plains it will give 45+ in the city itself. But I always use castrol edge 5w40 full synthetic oil.
