confusion

i am confused between r15 and apache rtr 180. non abs and price is flexible for me
my ride wil constitue only city riding. heard that new apache engine are not ver reliable and break down within 3 years. i am no professional.
so experts please give me some clear idea about the bikes. and is yamaha engine very reliable. how long would they be problem free given the care they deserve
