I hope you have a DL since you turned 18. Twister is a 110 cc machine and hence would tick the mileage requirements whereas Stunner may/may not! BTW, mileage greatly depends upon the riding style.

yeah, of course i'll be getting my DL before i get the bike

What about the gear shifting problem?
Is it something to be concerned about?

Good that you are willing to get the DL in time.

Regarding gear shifts, I have ridden the Twister maybe twice and I didn't find any issues. Go through the Twister ownership experiences thread and see if it is indeed an issue.

I got to know about this issue from there only,that's why I was curious to ask as many people own twister here and they can help me better.

Yes there was a bit of problem with the gear shift in some of the batches, but it is corrected in the new oncoming models.
I rode the bike for a brief period of time and didnt find any problem.
Honda is very reliable and value for money, read the ownership reviews and maybe talk to a few owners to clear your doubts, then go for it.
