I am looking for a bike for leisure rides. i used to have RD but due to some reasons i have to sell it & in present scenario RD prices and its spares cost going north. i think its better to stay away from it though i fully enjoyed my time with it . My needs are good pickup, less maintenance with comfortable seating position. my budget is 2 Lakh max. please suggest me some bikes.

Query Approved.
Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

look no beyond than a CBR. will fit your 6.2 height perfectly with good pickup and amazing tourer...
for 2L pick up CBR ABS.. if you want some more fire.. get the DUKE 390.. either is good for leisure rides..
test ride both and make a choice..."A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel."

Re: Bike for leisure rides, weekend rides
Two lakhs are enough for a bike and CBR250R is probably the best option at that cost. If you want to save some bucks for fuels and future maintenance, the just launched Hero ZMR is not a bad option either. Both the bikes provide you a relaxing journey experience.

My vote : CBR 250R with ABS.
Duke 390 is good, but you will encounter wind blasts at high speeds.
ZMR is ugly looking.(just my opinion)I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

Yes I do own one and the after sales service depends from place to place, you just have to find the best one. There are about 5 dealers and 7 authorized service centers in my city, and I go to which ever does the job to my satisfaction.Originally posted by vikas007sharma View PostAll those people suggesting CBR 250R. Do you own one?
What about the pathetic service of Honda. I have heard a lot about it.I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

all votes are going for CBR but i have heard that CBR300 is going to be launched in India & KTM doesn't have a showroom in our city moreover its seating stance doesn't suit me. Slowly tilting to Bullet but have ridden C350 i wasn't overly impressed as i was sitting between rider & pillion seats so kind of uncomfortable.

CBR300 will surely cross your budget. It will be above 2 Lakh, if launched.Originally posted by Sandeep.sidhu View Postall votes are going for CBR but i have heard that CBR300 is going to be launched in India & KTM doesn't have a showroom in our city moreover its seating stance doesn't suit me. But today a fellow member told me that new CBR 250R might get launched in India. But again it all depends on your patience. Whether you can wait for new CBR till Diwali or maybe new year. Yes, the same one which was launched in Indonesia.
Did you tried Thunderbird? Its meets all your requirement. Its wonderful bike.
