FZ 2.0 suits suits your requirements perfectly.
As far as 200 NS is concerned, yes the Eurogrip tires that come fitted from the factory are nasty. but they can be easily replaced with better ones on the first day itself. So crappy tires should not be the only reason to not buy a otherwise good bike.
Also have a look at the new Hero Xtreme.

I agree with the above posters. You will be happy with the FZ. It meets the requirements you have listed out sufficiently.

If you don't like the NS's looks and is not likely to grow into it, you would be better off with the FZ.

If you feel that you'll strictly adhere to your conditions in the future, FZ is the bike - Better pillion comfort in the new version.
If you've a slight doubt about turning greedy for power in the future, Duke is the bike - What is pillion comfort?
For everything else in between, Pulsar is the bike.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I will be buying a bike with in a month.

Duke 200 is excluded from the list on account of almost non-existent pillion.

Fz v2.0 and Puslar 200ns are left in contention.
I am not considering Gixxer 150, as I will buy Fz over Gixxer anyday, just for the looks itself.

For the two lefts, I have some queries.

1) As its going to be my first bike, would I be able to handle a 200cc bike. I mean, is it going to be tough for a new biker to ride a 200cc bike, or both bikes would take equal amounts of time invested for proper riding?

2) If Pulsar 200ns tires are upgraded at the time of purchasing, does it build quality good otherwise?

Will be going for test-rides this week.

There's nothing wrong with the build quality of NS200. You have a pretty easy task at hands of choosing a bike out of two options and NS200 is the wiser choice. Don't worry about the power thing. With a sane head on top any newbie can ride almost any bigger bike. Go for a test ride and decide for yourself.

1) You'll be able to handle the 200ns. Just be easy on throttle
2) It's the best built pulsar, IMO. Tyres can be changed later if you wish.

I'd go for gixxer. It's more powerful than fz v2. And in looks, its tank looks cool and I love its exhaust(looks Gorgeous). Have you seen it in real? I liked it even though I love fully faired bikes.
If not gixxer, go for 200ns because of its performance. You'll find lack of power in fz after some days when you get used to riding.
p.s: test ride gixxer and check out in white color.

I dont know mate, but FZ looks too old to me now. Gixxer blows my mind thou + it has more power n torque than FZ.
200 NS suits you the best, you can easily handle a 200 cc. My frnd learnt driving itself on his newly owned NS, so you can drive easily.
When comparing to duke, NS has little less power but more pillion comfort.

My choice would be:
1. 200 NS
2. Gixxer
3. Fz
4. Duke -> only bcoz of pillion thing else this goes at no.1 spot

VALUE FOR MONEY person, Speed matters and how fast you reach there THAT MATTERS THE MOST , you've seen/rode it,the new quality bajaj (not 150\180/220) ,
Get 200ns.


Uniqueness and speed matters, BUT have good cash, value for money doesn't apply on you, you just need to get crazy and you love naked on road . ..bikes of course. .
Get D200


You're a poser,a sucker for faired bikes, speed isn't the thing (as compared to other available options) you just need something to look great(esp a girl magnet) you like it.
Get R15 .

1.6000Kms of 200ns, with 2 1000kms trip of open highway fun
2. 900kms of duke 200 ,with one 500km of trip and rest in city.
3. 400kms of R15 on highway, 20-30 kms inside rishikesh city
4. 20Kms of fz v2 ,with ultra sane riding as bike is new ( of friend)
Rest let me tell you how I ride, if a bike, ridden under simple circumstances, returns 40kmpl mileage, then it'll give 28kmpl when ridden by me, even on a highway.

Think about it, If you really have/need a pillion most of the times!!! If yes, go for P200NS, Else Get the Duke straight away.
One more practical option- as budget is not a constraint- Get a P200NS(For riding Single) and a Scooter(For riding with the pillion) with the saved amount.
No reason, why you even should go for FZ, when you can get the P200NS, if Milege is not a constraint.
And with time you will realise, Performance matters over looks, in long term.

Ruled FZ out then.

Pillion wont be there most of the time, but it would be needed at times for short rides. I am giving Duke 200 another shot, and gonna take my family members(who are on a heavier side - 80 kg) for a pillion test ride on Duke.
If that works out, then Duke it is. If it doesn't, then P200NS is the bike.
