Hi, I will buy a new Avenger in 2-3 days (my first bike on my name). Can you guys tell me what are the documents to get from the showroom like RC book, etc.?

Your bike will be given with a manual, with temporary registration certificate (if you're taking a bike from different city as opposed to yours) and insurance. RC copy will be given to you by your regional RTO office, once the bike's paper work are checked, and when your mototcycle gets alotted a number.

And how much time does usually takes to get the RC book? and what about smart card?

RC book usually is given in a week's time, max, but it will depend on how your broker expedites your work, but usually in a week's time, give or take. Secondly smart card (at least where I live) still haven't been implemented yet. But Karnataka has come up with this new smartcard RC book which is quite handy and reduces paperwork. But again, it depends on your location.

Also make sure that the dealer provides the first aid kit and a basic tool kit along with the bike.I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.Comment

You will get from showroom
1. Original Bill
2. Road Challan
3. Insurance Certificate
4. Smart Card/ Rc Book (usually get within 1 month)
5. Road Tax Certificate
6. Number Plate Challan
& Warranty & Owners Manual.
