  • What bike available?

Hi i like to check what are the bikes available in india of 400cc or 500cc.

Not looking for a sports bike but a bike like cruiser or tourer, but something like super 4 honda or cb400x etc. not into ktm duke 390 or pulsar or enfield bullet. What are the bikes around and you would recommend?

Am looking at chennai/ trichy (TN) karaikal / pondy (PY).
is fazer 6 available in the local market? Did google search but no proper searches found.

ninja 650 also considerable but when i looked up at the website kawa can't find the models.

So my question is what are the 400cc / 500cc /600cc bikes available and their price range.

Thanks for the inputs, thank you. also is there any website relevant to bigger cc bikes with all the details(price/ availability)

There are just two 650cc bikes. The Ninja 650 and the Hyosung 650. The Ninja you will find on the Kawasaki website and not on the Suzuki website!!!

You could also check out the Triumph Bonneville depending on your budget.

All the best for your mid sized bike hunt, believe me you are not alone
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

            Re: What bike available?

Frankly speaking so many of us out here in the forum are biding our time waiting for the mid segment to really open up. Decades of protectionist laws have made this very sensible segment a rarity in India... But... but... it however is very slowly opening up... currently though choices are still extremely limited.

As mentioned, Only available motors in that category are Ninja 650, Hyosung 650, Street Triple, Daytona ... if you push it ... Bonnie (800cc), New 750 Harleys (i forget the name)...

Absolutely nothing in 400cc... waterless waterhole! CB400x not available in India... Heck even CBR300r or the newer designed CBR250r isn't available yet...

Fazer 6 would be terrific (I drool) but no mid-segment models available from the Honda, Suzuki or Yamaha stables currently... I wonder why Kawasaki hasn't brought in the Versys 650 yet, that would give some variety to what they offer... but no such luck too.

Desperately wishing for this segment to expand too, most of us [mid-segment wishers] in India finally get tired of waiting and end up in the [litre class or above] bracket... until that time... I remain part of the [Quarter Litre Movement]

            Cheers amigos.
