Re: Honda CBR 250R vs Suzuki Inazuma GW250

My Pick would be CBR 250 ABS as ABS is very much a necessary in Indian conditions. Quality is not that bad and the recent batches have seen great improvement on CBR.
On what the safe speed for india is, i completely disagree with 120+ is not safe. Safe speed is all relative to the road and bike you are using most importantly.
Even 60 + is not safe on some roads in India and some of the expressways its ok for upto 130 - 140 too. The more powerful the bike is, the safer it is. See the point is to handle more power/ speed, the more powerful bikes come with better chassis, better tyres, better brakes, ABS etc etc. Its more safer anyday to do 125 on CBR/Duke compared to 120+ on say Karizma/pulsars which comes with antique brakes, bad tyres and bad brakes.. Back down my memory lane when i had boxer/splendor i used to think how can people do speeds like 100-110 when 80kmph feels so dangerous, the thing was it was all relative to splendor/boxer capacity. Now with P220 i feel upto 120-130 i'm comfortable and feel safe in sustaining that speed for a long time. Similarly a guy on Busa would feel upto 200-220kmph is safe and comfortable to sustain, those massive brakes, technology and sticky tyres makes all the difference. Hope you got my point.

Moderators - Please close this thread (unless this thread serves academic purposes for a few others). I have decided to postpone my decision to buy the bike until a few more months (will wait for HX250R, updated CBR250R, CBR300R).

Again - Thanks for taking time and effort to read my queries and post your replies.
