RC series is fantastic no doubt, but practicality is different.
Frankly I don't think we have roads for bike like RC200 (atleast the way where I am planning to ride D200 can be called as off-road for RC
Secondly, Pillion seat is stupid enough. I would really like to see someone sitting at back constantly trying to hold onto something (or perhaps Rider ) to avoid falling off.
By the way, have you opted for Orange Assist? Anyone found it useful?
I will be mostly driving my D200 outside the city so probably it is good idea for me to opt for it.

Its good you opted for new bike. happy riding .
I am opting for it as I feel it will prove worthy as there will be no good mechanic in my area.
Your commuting route is smooth enough for RC, no doubt.
What did your girlfriend say about the pillion ride

Interesting comparisons with a First impression review of RC bikes, makes me feels RC is made only for tracks.
And with that much weight, Mileage figures will sure dig hole in pockets for daily commuters.

Only criteria my wife had for bike is I should be using it daily and it should not be lying in the parking like my old Buddy Suzuki GS150R now sold..
I tried and explained her there is a difference between riding a GS and RC she is not convinced and said time will tell the facts..
Reason today started commuting with my DIO and get used to bikes again till I get my RC....
What is the cost of Orange Assist.... ?sigpic

In my case, I am quite scared because its my first bike. I am sure I will be idiotic at some usual bike behaviors & feel it as a problem. I will keeps posting something and people will say me its false alarm. LOL
You sure will be convinced not to ride cars after riding the RC.
Orange Assist costs around Rs.800/year

If the Duke is your first bike, then you are damn lucky! Getting to learn biking (on your own bike) with machine like the Duke is amazing. Go easy on the brakes till you get acclamatized to them. Hard braking at high speeds can lock the tyres on the Duke very quickly. The way you ride is the way you are..
