  • What is the next upgrade that I can try for

    Hey guys,

Been reading this forum for quite a while and I am keen to get your expert reviews on what can be my next upgrade. What is more than asking fellow bikers
Here is the thing...I had my P220 for 4 yrs and then I switched to CL500...I have no idea why i did that. But I am now liking it. My heart is wanting for a power mill where I can take it to the limits (agreeable limits i meant :P).

My budget is around 3L. I am predominantly wanted a multi-cyclinder mill, so went for Ninja 300, pricing is making me think twice to go ahead or not. R25 is another option (but when is it landing on Indian grounds, not sure even if god knows).

Should I rather wait for HX-250 or CBR-300...I am open to any suggestions...

Looking forward to hear from you all...

    Cheers
    Karthik

    Happy driving !!!!

    What bike query approved!

So you want a fast bike! N300 all the way (R25's ETA is unknown so.)
HX 250 and CBR 250 are single cylinder mills. So is RC390! But it's a fast bike.

Multicylinder has Inazuma too, but I don't think that's what you want.
    Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.
Because everyone who passes, isn't a martyr!

The Ninja 300 is a stonker of a bike, it's reliable as well. Track days and highways are tackled easily, not many bikes do that!
RC might not be comfortable for long distance, cbr is underpowered compared to KTM and ninja. I wouldn't bet too much on the first bike of Hero as of now, not downplaying it but little bit skeptical abt hx250r reliability at the moment.

U have only option....ninja 300. Wouldn't recommend hyosung though it is a multi mill. Don't count on cbr 300 or r25. As of now it is a day dream.good option for power would be rc390 with aggressive price. But more track based & less practical.Hx could be an option but performance is unknown and hence the ninja

You can also consider the suzuki inzuma but it is not powerfull but realy comfortable and has high end quality parts price is under 250000.
I would say wait for the honda cbr 300 because i think the honda stop the 250 in the coming months.

Firstly test ride the bikes btw ninja is a great bike

I would recommend a used Bonneville.

It is like your Enfield, only faster. And a multi cylinder.

by the time CBR 300 and R25 are launched, Hastur will be in the portfolio.

Hastur will be a 650cc mill, pricing is another concern and practical power..is it usable in our Indian roads since I am from Chennai and the traffic snarl has no words for description...

                ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

Yes Deep007, I did TD the 300, it was amazing and totally under control, the mid range torque was damn good. I rode it in ECR here in Chennai and took it to 120 without any hustle..with all driving gears. If CBR 300 is going to launched and Ninja 300 price comes down, I ll definitely go for Ninja 300.

                ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

Thanks Divya, I am definitely not a fan of the VFR model, hence not liking the CBR 250 though on performance basis, its good on the road.
I was under assumption that HX-250 will be a parallel twin.

Inazuma was never in my liking. Its heavy compared to N300. But if we see a price slash in N300 when CBR300 is launched, my money will be put on the booking table for N300...no second thoughts (expect for the color though, the green or white )

i was mentioning hastur since most of the suggestion came for R25 and CBR 300 which is still on the stake.

when you choose higher range bike you have to forget about mileage and comfort. so if you wish to ride in city you can. otherwise use sub 200CC for city ride and higher range bike for weekends/show off (thats why decided not to sell my Hunk at any cost )

ECR is a good road to test higher power bikes. No doubt Ninja 300 is a master piece available as entry level sports bike in India.
But don't expect price slash in Ninja 300, it is a premium segment and it wont jeopardize it, moreover it is not produced in India instead as a CKD.

Don't wait for any price slash on the Ninja, man. Have you seen any Ninja getting a price slash in the Indian market?
If budget is stopping you then try looking at the option of a used N300 or even an N250. They are pretty reliable even when used.

Yep totally true. Again Hastur, concept, when into production ?? no one knows...so I am getting more inclined towards the Green machine,.
