    bajaj discover 150s vs Yamaha sz rr

    Hello frnds,

    I am planning to buy a bike under 70k in delhi. My requirements are:-

    - good city bike with good power
    - occasionally highway trips, bike should be able to run at speed of 80kph with ease
    - mileage would be 45+
    - driving experience should be very good if not best (don't want to compromise)

    I have shortlisted following bikes:-

    1. Bajaj discover 150s (did not like 150f)
    2. Yamaha sz RR
    3. Yamaha sz s(if budget does not allow)

    Please share your views on above bikes. Personally I like sz RR but I have to pay 8000 more compare to discover 150s. Do you think its worth to pay that much more? Secondly people say bajaj bikes are not good for longer time. Do you think bajaj discover 150s is having better quality than past bajaj bikes.

    I am really very confused. Guyz please help me, I want to buy bike soon.

      Try the new Bajaj 155cc discover (the faired one) good reviews for that one. And alternately try the Honda unicorn and trigger (tried and tested performance, pocket friendly but cheap looking switch gear). Those are my suggestions and TD them before you dismiss them as options. Post your experience. Cheers : )

          Bro..i m too staying in delhi... Did u checked.. Ss125, honda stunner, ignitor, glamor, all are 125cc bike..definitely give u mileage more than what u are asking and within ur budget too

            Yamaha any day. Yamahas have the best handling bike in any segment. Yamahas are fuj to ride without the fear of model being phased out or high maintenance.

              I already have glamour and would like to upgrade. I doubt if these bikes has better performance than Yamaha sz RR or discover 150s. As far as mileage is concern, getting anything about 45 or above will be OK with me.

              Thanks for your reply! I also think the same but discover 150s does look good on paper and its 8000 cheaper than Yamaha sz RR. That's why I even thinking about Yamaha sz -s as well which is 5000 expensive than discover. I slightly inclined towards sz RR but cost difference does not seem to be justified. I wonder how bajaj has quoted thar less prize of discover 150 which looks very decent on paper. May be quality of parts is not good, That's why I am not very confident about discover, guys u r expert, can u help me in choosing VFM bike.

                Szrr- pathetic mileage ,and spare parts costs more than the top flagship bike of bajaj, avg looks .
                Discover - new player ,reliability depends ,but the recent trend indicates that any discover model holds chances of being discontinued in a snap .be cautious.

                  Among these two, Discover is definitely more powerful. Will help you reach 80 earlier but after a certain amount of time, engine will start to feel stressed. The fairings look like something with too much plastic to me. P-135 is a better buy.
                  SZ-RR may be one of the least powered 150cc but will not feel stressed due to the superb engine and the endurance level of it. Overall quality is better. FE is less than Bajaj.
                  Go with Bajaj if you want better power output and FE. Go with Yamaha for everything else.
                  You can also have a look at SS-125. You will not feel like you are riding a 125cc after 40kmph. Capable of doing 70-80 kmph for prolonged period of time without much ado.

                    I know its little expensive, it won't give more than 50 kmpl mileage, spare parts are expensive but I could not resist myself from buying SZ RR.

                            Yesterday i test drove the discover 150f. Extremely smooth, power is also good, looks also good but didnt like the seating posture. Its too much commuterish. I currently ride fazer so sitting position was not liked by me. If u can libe with it then its the best, else p135 or ss/sz
