You could also consider a used ninja300 though not sure you can find one that hasn't been abused.
But if you can it'll be a dream to ride

Yeah! It appears that way to me too.
Hero is going for HX250 but no launch dates till now(or I didn't hear about any)
Ankey Fazer is not really my type and FZ is good but I can make do with buying an NS as well.

Also, pulsar 200ns ownership thread in itself is like a Warning statement to guys like me that problems may arise anytime. Reliability is also an issue with NS but that can be handled because my handling is very good and I take care of my things.

Seriously bro, either wait it out for the new releases or just get a used ninja 250/300.
Ns is not entirely unreliable but there are some issues which I am sure have been rectified in newer models. Overall its a good budget rocket.
But if you want more options then take my suggestion.

How about the rc 200? Or rc390?
Though the pillion seat literally does not exist :P you can take a test ride along with pillion on the rc and decide.

Been discussed already bro. He has an issue with the pillion seats on all ktm bikes.

Re: A super sport or a Naked Sport ?

Pillion comfort on 200ns is not an issue till 200-250kms. If thats the range you are looking for, go for it.
It'll be good in traffic and nice on highways. Crosswinds will always be a problem if u go for nakeds. [Personal Experience].

CBR is a good option but Honda might stop its production anytime, and their after sales service requires whole another thread to talk about. Also, availability of their parts is a big problem.

Dukes are the way to go if majority of your riding is in city. They handle like nothing else.

FZ and fazer, are very good but i dont have any experience on v2.0. and pillion comfort on fz v 1.0 was also very bad.
R15, you have already rejected.
ZMR also you have rejected.

What i would suggest is take a test-drive with a pillion and then decide. That might be worth it.

The pillion seat of NS is much better than what duke has on offer. So if you did 150 kms on duke, then 200 - 250 kms are pretty easy on an NS.

carelessakki .. you are looking for CBR150, you are just not sure yet
Little overprices but it offers all you want
Fairing, Top Speed, Accelaration, Pillion Comfort.
If not Duke or NS, its CBR150 jus for the pillion and fairing.

sirji, I wouldn't know.
I have never sat pillion on an NS. out of 20k kms that i have done on it, i have sat pillion for around 10km or so...

I had a friend as pillion on one of my rides and he switched to bullet after 300kms or so.

CBR is the best option according to me too, but as he rightly pointed it out, it can go out of production pretty soon.

Re: A super sport or a Naked Sport ?

Now I guess CBR is out for me. If production stops that means problems with spares after some time(I guess). Also, a male pillion is no problem for even the duke because I don't really care about the comfort of my friends
But I have to drop my mom to office and so I can't really go for the other sports bikes. Comfort in sense of suspension settings is no big deal but if the seat is awkwardly inclined, that won't do(bye bye R15)
That's the only reason for my inclination towards CBR150. RCs are priced over my budget. 1.4-1.5 L OTR is my limit and CBR250 as well as RC200 are across the borderline.
I guess I'll have to look at P200NS only.

Honestly, 200NS doesn't have that bad pillion seat, so it should be a good choice except for the fairing.
And I don't think CBR150 would go out of production, they are just romours, 150R still sells a lot more than 250R.
