    Help needed , Need to buy Suzuki Gixxer or Yamaha FZ-FI-V 2.0 ????

    Hi

    i am from lucknow, till date i was riding Hero Honda Hunk, which i parted ways last week. i rode that bike for last 6 years, now i want to buy a bike either its Gixxer or Yamaha FZ-FI-V 2.0.

    My Emphasis on :
    • Robust engine
    • Service Centres ( heard Suzuki has pathetic service centres with less or no availability of parts etc, etc)
    • Looks
    • FE( upto 50 km/lt) or more...wud love that
    • My target segment is 150 cc
    • Bike shud be there for next 5-6 years
    • i drive mainly in city..and my daily running is upto 40 kms
    • Maintenance issues , if any


    Suggest me Guys ...plz...

      For your kind of usage, FZ 2.0 suits the bill perfectly. Ticks all the boxes.

        Gixxer is new, issues are not yet known in that bike.

        Fz should be better for you. Only doubt if it will give 50kmpl.

          i would suggest suzuki gixxer
          on road price in Lucknow was 82500
          i was in the same dilemma few days back finally bought gixxer black btw i am also from lucknow

            I purchased Gixxxer a month ago and so far I am really satisfied with it.
            The bike gives you better feeling than FZ.
            Though I am quite disappointed after the first service. The mechanics doesn't even know how to adjust the drive chain optimally.
            Even the sound of bike has changed a little, I am cursing the engine oil for it.

              If you can buy a FI bike, go with that even if you have to pay slightly more. The refinement and throttle response would be much better that its carbureted counterpart.
              Have practical experience with what i am saying.
              Ride safe and have fun.

                    Gixxer or Fz Fi

                    Hi team wanted help here in choosing a bike... I am confused between Gixxer and Fz Fi.... Heard Fz Fi engine needs to be cleaned after every 6000 km and cost around INR 2500. I am looking in terms of reliability, engine refinement and performance.

                      Its not engine that needs to be cleaned periodically, but Fuel Injector. But I am not sure about the cost. I believe it should be less than 2.5k anyways.

                        I own Yamaha FZS FI and driven around 4700kms. I am getting very good mileage till now. i had filled 12liters and have travelled approx 710kms. So you can calculate the mileage. And about FI injector cleaning it will cost you around 250rs. Confirmed by SRV people in bangalore.

                          Bro are you sure about it? How does the bike fares while doing 3 figure? Heard about vibrations and not a punchy engine.

                            Suzuki gixxer without a FI compensate it with higher CC engine compared to yamaha as 155cc> 149cc & yet delivers almost comparable mileage to a FI engine costlier bike .

                              Yes i have checked with the SRV people for the same. You wont feel any vibrations till 90-95kms/hr and after that it loose power but vibrations are minimal to handlebar and footpeg.
