  • New bike suggestion FZ 2.0, Gixxar, pluser 200NS, karizma R, Unicorn

I am 30 years old I want to purchase new bike currently i am having CBZ and FZ i want to sell cbz and purchase new bike for my daily running of 45 KM

    following are my requirements
It should have good low and mid range torque which my cbz is missing (need to shift gears frequently in traffic)
It should have good suspension like FZ need for bad roads in Mumbai
It should have refined engine vibrations even at 5000 rpm should be less and at 5000 RPM speed should be near 70 or more

    1. Budget : Approx 95k
    2. Age : 30
    3. Height : 5'8"
    4. Weight : 85 kg
    5. Intended usage : Mostly Office commute, Occasional weekend recreation riding and highway runs.
    6. Fuel Efficiency requirement : 35+ would be sufficient. (Of course the higher I can get the better).
    7. City & Highway percentage usage : 50% city usage, 50% highway.
    8. Monthly running : 1000km approx.
    9. City / Town /Village of residence : Mumbai
    10. Brand / Bike type preference : Yamaha / Hero / Honda / Suzuki

i have shortlisted FZ 2.0, Suzuki Gixxar, pluser 200NS, karizma R, unicorn
from reviews on internet i think Suzuki Gixxer is bike which meet requirements like but i havent driven yet

FZ 2.0 - has nice suspension
    Gixxar - havent driven yet
pluser 200NS - i dont like bajaj build quality (from my past exp of bajaj bikes not sure about 200 NS)
karizma R - i dont think ride quality will be good as FZ
    unicorn - refined engine

Kindly suggest me which bike should i go for

already you have FZ and FZ v2 may not be good. it narrows down to your choice
from my experience, cbz has a good mid range power in 3rd and 4th gear should be good for traffic.

going by your height and weight, rpm/speed,ride quality refinement i would suggest Karizma r. both karizma twins are desingned to absorb deep potholes and bumps with ease. next on the list would be 200ns, very good bike. bajaj has improved on it;s build quality and need not worry about it

if you want to save every drop of fuel and save more and you want to get mileage of 45+ on highway at good speeds of 80-100 spend a bit more money and get zmr.

both karizma twins are tourers with the best suspension and ride quality

        +1 to above post.
Considering your requirements, first choice should be the Karizma (both of the twins are equally good).
Next should be 200NS for the power.
        last should be gixxer.

        Take test rides and decide.
        All the best.
I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

Just by looking (not sure) at CBZ and Karizma r i feel both are having same chassis, riding

position, and suspension which i feel not good in cbz compared to FZ
FZ has far better suspension than CBZ in daily running of 45 i can really feels the difference

between both FZ and CBZ. CBZ gives me back problem
in CBZ i have to change between gears 1,2,3 in traffic but in FZ its between 1,2 only
since mostly my brother drives FZ and i have to drive cbz so even if i go for FZ 2.0 its not

          and issue
Gixxar also looks same as FZ may be having similar ride quality with refined engine than FZ
not sure if bajaj improved their build quality with new pulsar as from past exp with pulsar it starts

to develop weird noises from body after using it for 2-3 years

The ride quality and handling of FZ V2.0 is the best in class. And seems you are already a bit inclined towards FZ V2.0!
You can also have a look at Karizma and Gixxer(only if you have a Suzuki service center nearby).

I'd say gixer or 200ns, but the suspension of 200ns ain't the forgiving type, gixxer will be the right bike for u ,

You already have a FZ, so better have a look at Gixxer.

Otherwise Karizma seems good for you.

200NS if you are crazy about power. But you will need to extend your budget by 10k.

                  Karizma
                  Gixxer suspension not so good
                  I'm KARIZMA rider

I am also buying a new bike in this category

confused between yamaha fz-s FI 2.0 vs pulsar 200 ns
I love the looks and refinement of FZ-S and i am sure yamaha quality is unbeatable

but i am slightly pulled by pulsar's power 23 bhp.

any other bike suggestions also welcome

If you consider only power, go for P200.
For everything else, go for FZ.

Cbz and karizma are no way similar when it comes to riding positions and afaik, even the wheelbase is different. Test ride it and you'll know. There's no similarity between cbz and karizma when it comes to postures.
