  • Confused between New Karizma Zmr & Cbr 150 & Ktm Rc 200

Which one is the best ..
Karizma Zmr or Cbr 150 or Rc 200

My requirements is that bike should be a easy handler because mainly I use it for city rides & here in Kochi jam packed traffic is a usual sight.& I dont have that much experience in riding bikes too.Refinement is a top priority (as I hate annoying vibrations). One which I am using at present is Honda Aviator which have a silky smooth engine & really love it.Fuel efficiency not a major concern. Performance should be a decent one, thatz all (Not a racing minded ).

Karizma Zmr is the one I really liked especially looks but heard about some vibration problems and all..Is it a serious issue ???

Cbr 150 - Cost around 20K more than Karizma , but engine refinement is a big plus .Cons is low end torque and less features.

Rc 200 - Itz a killer machine I know & cost is pretty high. But is it worth a buy for tat price tag??? I dnt have any idea abt after sale service and maintenance of Ktm bikes..Can I expect a okay kind of fuel efficency..Any Ktm bike owners please have your contribution for this question
Any other suggestion is also welcomed..

Are you sure you are looking for a faired bike for jam packed traffic for Kochi, which is not necessarily a easy handler in those circumstances. Maybe you need to revisit the motorcycles you shortlisted or change your requirements!
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

For a jam packed city, maneuvering a fired bike might be a bit of a problem. You should opt for a light and nimble naked street bike like Yamaha FZ or Suzuki Gixxer.

If you are into faired bikes, ZMR is your best bet. The vibrations occur at high RPM range, and in a traffic jam you would not be riding at high rpms.
CBR 150 is not worth the money.
RC200 is exclusive and maintenance will be a bit expensive than the ZMR.

Take test rides and then decide.
      All he best.

If you looked at the cbr 150 then try the r15 . It defines refinement and performance and is a great handler too . Don't push it off saying "its only a 150 cc" its in a league of its own and zero vibrations can be felt .Kochi has grown alot but its roads have been paralysed for the last 2-3 years 😞😉

I don't understand what you mean by "Readable" ... If it's my proficiency please pardon me as I am a not a language expert.. & moreover I believe I am not writing a official letter inorder to follow some prescribed format .. I am writing in more or less same way as others here!!! Cheers

Yup..I totaly agree with tat ... Here roads are a mess.. Infact R15 I have considered in the initial stages and had a look in the nearby showroom (PSN Yamaha).. But the pillion seat is a big minus for the bike as well as its sporty riding style ..Machine is a class apart but mentioned factors makes it a non practical one.. What about Duke 200 ???

          ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

Okay.. I am really looking for faired bikes..that is why opted out Fz and Gixxer as Its design looks weird.. But I like Duke 200 eventhough its a naked design..

Maybe he meant that you should present the content in a readable format - paragraphs, indentations etc? SMS lingo is anyways discouraged.

ZMR is a wide bike. I mean RVM (Rear View Mirror) to RVM. Though people manage with it just fine, it maybe bothersome for some time. But, it's a good VFM bike. Relaxed riding ergos.
CBR 150R is too costly for what it offers.
R15 is nice. Handles well in city and performs good on the highways. Pillion seat not very comfy, but isn't a wooden seat either. Slightly aggressive seatig position.
RC200 is new but has created waves already. Fun to ride bike, but can be dangerous in amateur hands. Most compact IMO amongst all the 4 bikes I mentioned so far.

Take a test ride of the naked Duke200 and see if impresses you!

The duke is a pick from the heart I too face the face question on whether to go with the duke or r15 . The duke is for those acceleration junkies who like to rev it high and Kochi is a place the duke would call 'home' it can zoom through traffic .its flickable.its fast and its a looker . Mileage depends on you 30-50 lowest in case you do high revs or you don't follow run-ins too well . Maintenance is questionable and from what I've heard is if your duke faces trouble then its all you.. Ktm produces high quality parts and machines and If your duke has problems then your not meant to own one. . Duke has a hard seat . It has a inexistent pillion seat and also service must be taken care of without delay . The usually replacing parts don't cost much but parts like fuel pump and thottle body wouldcost above 5000 but then again if it happens in 2years then its under warranty(correct me if im wrong) Overall its a good buy and you wont curse the day you bought it 😃 👍 P.S it"ll put a SMILE on your face and would attract attention from the opposite sex 👍 👍 ☺ 😊

I would suggest the Duke as it is too much fun. The only thing is that the bike is expensive to maintain

Your reply is over 2 months late sir. Moreover, OP never came back to this thread so I/we have no idea if he got the bike.

New Karizma Z. Than the ZMR, RC and the CBR.

                    Better engine.
                    Lower maintainance.
                    Cheaper spares.
                    About the same mileage.
Decent looker. At par with the others.

All bikes being compared here against Duke/RC comes no where closer.I am sorry but comparison should be made against comparables Duke/RC 200 is compared against CB 250R. Karizma is a cheaper Indian version of above 200cc just like Bajaj 220 pulsar. For the price no one can offer this kind of performance and reliablity
