Sorry i forgot to add few more deatils in my first post to this thread,

Height - 177cms
Weight - 74kgs
Body - Mascular
Budjet - No Problem
Mileage - No Problem
Ride Location - Only for long rides/Weekend short cruising in ECR chennai but not for daily purpose.
when i ride the cruiser i want a smoothy ride, feel like heaven, more comfortable foot position, easy to carry saddle bags, triedless spine/back.
so kindly let me know about these two bikes

If budget is no problem , i would suggest Triumph Rocket 3 touring.
Out of these two bikes , its Hd street - winner by KO without entering the ring.
I dont think RE 500 should be compared with HD street. Its unjust.
Its a great bike but both these segment are quite apart.

yeah budjet is not a problem but triumph rocket 3 is 20 lakhs man, that is a big problem.
HD street 750 is 5 lakhs [no problem < 5lakhs ]
RE TB800 is 2 lakhs

why i compared these two bikes is wanted to know the comfortness of these two bikes for long rides for the rider
also i never rode the cruiser bikes before, so only i wanted to know the difference between the two.
also for my height will HD street/TB 500 be good for riding? will it have good foot-rest for my height?
1)which will give a solid ride for say non-stop 100 kms @ 80 kmph [i mean like less vibration/silky smooth kind of ride] <- sorry if its an akward question
2)HD street is not a cruiser bike?
3)breaking wise which is better?
4)riding on bad roads with more path holes during the journey [like suspension/ tyre grip during rainy times]?

First of all, you should go and test ride both these bike. Most of your queries will be cleared.

Between the two, HD Street would be my choice

HD Street 750 should be your choice. V twin, sweet sound. Proven engine. Not that RE is not reliable, but every one in the world knows the niggles about a RE, If you have deep pockets to spend, go for 750...without a doubt..

HD street is very peppy , vibe free motor when compared to TB. It has twice more hp and almost twice the torque.
1. Re will give you good ride for 100 km @ 80kmph , it will start to get tiring @ 150km or so. Street will give you much better ride as long as road is tarmac . 250km@120kmph is just about same as 100 on TB.
2. Street is much more happy on fast streets of city but its pretty good at Highways as well. Its not an out n out cruiser but will be doing much better than TB anyway.
3. Some say breaks are below par in street , i found them lacking in feel and felt wooden . you could lock both wheels at will under braking , just the feel is not progressive.
I doubt TB will out class it in breaking power , yes - feel may be with TB
I say its just a matter of getting used to the breaks on street and a months riding will suffice.
4. Pot holes on road may tip scales in favour of TB , not because it handles them better , but being cheaper in cost / part replacement one is much less worried on bad roads on TB. Both have similar GC but street has stiffer suspension , good for fast street rides , bad for pot holes.
Tyre grip is not a problem as one can get whatever tyre one wants , from very soft Michelin to very cheap MRFs.

You can also consider hyosung aquilla 250, aquila pro(650cc) and triumph bony. At least take a test ride of all these bikes.

why not a bonnie? oh, why not a bonnie? Please do consider it....it's much better than the 750 and I won't compare any RE with a bonnie.

just take back to back rides of the 750 and the bonnie (in that order). U'll know what am saying.

If you are planning to take frequent trips to remote locations, RE is the way to go. Pointers about why it scores over HDstreet750 keeping your requirement in mind:
01) RE is easy to maintain not only in terms of money but also availability of parts, can be handled by local mechanics, and is fairly sturdy.
02) It's less than half the price so you have an option of spending that money for customization.
03) For your height, RE's19 inch wheels will give you ample space for legs.

Though I myself never liked RE as an option, and went straight for aquila650 after cbr250, I feel it is more rational for your requirements. If you are not planning to go on steep hill stations with steep bends and narrow roads, you can also consider aquila pro.

Look for er6n, gt650 naked, aquilla, used 883 maybe. Avoid the 750... Personally i feel its like they stuffed a harley engine into avenger chasis. More over seeing some of its parts salvaged from the RE, bajaj and other indian bikes am not so happy.....But thats just my opinion....... As long as you take care of the bike there is no limit were u can take it. I have done crazy long rides on superbikes which users dont dare cross 200-300km radius on.
